Anthony Davis ? No. Michael Kidd Gilchrist? No. Bradley Beal? No. Dion Waiters? No. Thomas Robinson? No. Damian Lillard? YES! The 6th overall pick in the 2012 NBA draft Damian Lillard has been named Rookie of the Year for his amazing season. This season Lillard averaged 19 points per game, 6.5 assists per game and shot 43% from the field and 36% from 3.  He had to step up as soon as he came to Portland because they had no point guard with Raymond Felton leaving.

Damian Lillard was consistent all season, he played all 82 games this season and in only 5 games he did not score more than 10 points. Lillard definitely deserved the Rookie of the Year award, if it wasn't for him the Trailblazers would not be as good as they were this season, as he was one of the main scoring options and was always dishing out assists. Lillard still has a lot  of room to improve, which is great for the Blazers, he averaged 3 turnovers per game this season and his assists per game could and should go up as his career continues.
