In a trade for what will be maybe the best shooter in the draft, the Chicago Bulls attained an NBA ready forward in former Blue Jay Doug McDermott after trading their 16th and 19th picks to the Nuggets.

Doug McDermott is a born scorer and simply tore up the Big East last season for his team from Omaha. The Blue Jays creamed the strong Villanova Wildcats in their matchups via the consistent shooting from McDermott.

For his prolific performances, McDermott won the Wooden Award for the National Player Of The Year.

The Bulls must be thrilled to grab McDermott, who is more than likely going to contribute right away. It is always great to draft a player who has the experience of McDermott, and fills a need that the Bulls have had for a while at that position. The Bulls have needed a born shooter from beyond the arc for while, ever since Kyle Korver (another former Creighton star) left town.

You can find many chronicles of McDermott's performances for Creighton from VAVEL USA's own Daniel Waller.
