A couple of the featured events Sunday afternoon at the Nike Basketball 3 on 3 were a three-point shootout and halfcourt contest. Both contests were designed for fans of all ages to participate in.

The three-point contest generated the most participants with 24. The rules were simple and basic. Each contestant had one minute to shoot three racks of 5 balls, including one money ball worth two points per rack. Therefore, 18 was the highest possible score.

Within the 24 participants, a score of 8 was most common. However, three contestants by the names of Daniel, Endabeer, and Justin were the only ones to score more than 8 points, as they scored 14, 10, and 9 respectively.

The third place winner, Justin, received premier tickets to a TV Show. Second place, Endabeer won two tickets to a Clippers versus Warriors game. Lastly, first place winner, Daniel, received costless supply of Core Power milk for six months.

The halfcourt contest did not contain many participants, only 8. Their names were Tomer, Angelo, Aaron, Daniel, Anthony, Donovan, Craig, and Jacob. Each contestant received one halfcourt shot attempt per round, until someone could make it. If more than one person was able to make a halfcourt shot in one of the rounds, then the ones who did not make it would be eliminated, while the ones who made it would continue to battle.

However, that was not the case. During the third round, a kid by the name of Donovan sealed the victory, swishing in his halfcourt attempt and being the only one to make the shot. Donovan also won the costless throw shooting contest, prior to the halfcourt challenge, by nailing 15 straight costless throws. The person who came second to Donovan during the costless throw shootout only hit 9.

As winner of the halfcourt contest, young Donovan was rewarded with tickets to look the premier of a TV show.
