After a win on Saturday against Mexico, Lithuania defeated Angola 75-62 in the group stages of the 2014 FIBA World Cup in Spain.

Lithuania managed to score more points than Angola in every quarter, but the fourth to seal the win. Besides the first quarter, Lithuania held Angola to less than 20 points. The game was close until Lithuania had an impressive third quarter to put the game out of reach.

Lithuania was led in scoring by current Houston Rocket Donatas Motiejunas who had 12 points, while current Toronto Raptor Jonas Valanciunas added a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds in the victory.

Angola was led by Eduardo Mingas who had 14 points and also contributed 9 rebounds. Olimpio Cipriano had 13 points in Angola's loss.

Angola shot 42% from the field and just 28% from three. Angola made just 7/25 three point shots and that probably cost them the game. Angola made 9/12 costless throws giving them a 75% average. The shooting was not there for Angola and neither was their defense.

Lithuania shot 59% from the field and 35% from three. Lithuania made 17/29 shots from the field and 7/20 shots from three. Lithuania made 20/28 costless throws giving them a 71% average. Lithuania's shooting from the field is what helped them get the victory over Angola.

Lithuania, who is now 2-0, will look for another victory against Australia. That game will take place on September 2nd.
