The New Orleans Pelicans had a rather easy night, beating the Oklahoma City Thunder 120-86 at home. The Pelicans now advance to 3-2 in preseason action and the Thunder drop to 2-2.

The Pelicans got up early on the Thunder, starting the game out on a 10-0 run. From there on, New Orleans did not look back as they outscored the Thunder in every quarter.

The Pelicans were led by their third year man out of the University of Kentucky, Anthony Davis, who led all scorers with 28 points to go along with eight rebounds, two assists, and one block. Jrue Holiday followed with 14 points and five assists. Tyreke Evans, who started in place of Eric Gordon, scored 10 points and dished out seven assists to go along with four boards.

The Thunder was without Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, Serge Ibaka, and Kendrick Perkins. In fact, they only had nine out of 17 players suited up for this once, hence the blowout loss.

Without all their stars, Jeremy lamb stepped up and had a great game, scoring 20 points and grabbing seven rebounds. Sebastian Telfair chipped in with 16 points and three assists.

The Pelicans out-rebounded the Thunder 51-41. They also moved the ball around really well, recording 30 team assists compared to OKC's 11. Both teams were fairly clean, with only 11 giveaways for New Orleans and 12 for Oklahoma City.

The Pelicans do not play again until October 20, where they will take on the Washington Wizards. The Thunder will play tomorrow, October 17, as they take on the Toronto Raptors.
