The Indiana Pacers started off their season playing at home, as they welcomed the young Philadelphia team in Bankers Life Fieldhouse. The Pacers cruised in the second half to a 103-91 victory.

Both teams went on to start well in the first quarter. Tony Wroten led the offensive charge for the Philadelphia as he unloaded 8 of his 22 points in the first quarter. Luis Scola and Roy Hibbert combined for 13 first quarter points to give the Pacers a 26-24 lead at the end of the first period. 

Indiana started the second quarter on fire by hitting four of their first seven shots to take a 36-30 lead with under nine minutes left. Forwards Hollis Thompson and Brandon Davies combined for 11 points to take the upper hand at halftime 51-48. 

The Pacers continued their good offense as they conducted a 20-10 run in the third to take a 68-61 advantage with three minutes to go. Alexey Shved scored 12 of his 18 points in the third to keep the game close as the Sixers cut the deficit to five with a quarter to go.

Indiana endured their offensive charge in the last 12 minutes, as they went on a 17-5 run early in the fourth to stretch to stretch their lead to 13 with eight minutes to go. The Sixers went on to score the next 11 points capped off by Wroten's dunk to cut the deficit to within 3 with four minutes to play. The Pacers went on to score 11 straight points to seal the victory.

Roy Hibbert lead the Pacers with 20 points 8 rebounds and 7 blocks. Donald Sloan and Rodney Stuckey added 16 points each while CJ Miles chipped in with 15. Tony Wroten lead the charge for the Sixers with a great performance finishing the game with 22 points 8 rebounds 7 assists and 3 steals. Alexey Shved added 18 points and 5 assists. Nerlens Noel struggled going 2 of 11 from the floor and 2 of 6 from the costless throw line for a total of only 6 points. He did grab 10 boards and had 3 blocks. 

The Pacers made 46 percent of their shots compared to the Sixers 34 percent which pretty much tell the story of the game.
