It took a fourth straight triple-double from Russell Westbrook (49 points, 16 rebounds, and 10 assists) for the Oklahoma City Thunder to beat the Philadelphia 76ers. It also took him 33 shots and 18 free throw attempts. However, Oklahoma City eventually outlasted the scrappy Philadelphia 76ers 123-118 in overtime.

On the first night of a back-to-back this wasn't the ideal game for the Thunder. The Thunder appeared to have the game locked up in regulation, but Philly was hot from three all night. Philadelphia hit 15-of-35 from three-point land. Isaiah Canaan hit eight three-pointers tonight for the Sixers to the tone of 31 points. Jason Richardson also added 29 points while Luc Richard Mbah a Moute recorded a double-double of 18 points and 14 rebounds. Philadelphia definitely played harder, and probably deserved the win, but number zero for Oklahoma City wasn't having that.

Had the Thunder lost tonight, OKC would've fallen to the ninth seed in the Western Conference by way of tiebreaker. The Thunder also would've lost ground in its pursuit of the sixth or seventh seed. Russell Westbrook did Russell Westbrook things  and kept the Thunder's pace for a playoff spot. The most disappointing part of tonight's game was Serge Ibaka. He was relatively non-existent on the offensive end. He contributed just two points and two rebounds in 31 minutes of play, but his interior defense in overtime was particularly important. The defensive aspect is always a fallback for Serge. When his offense is struggling he can still completely shut down the paint on the other end of the floor.

The same can't be said of Enes Kanter, who probably had his worst game yet in a Thunder uniform. He was 4-of-8 from the field and had eight points and five rebounds. What's funny is those are normal numbers for the likes of Kendrick Perkins and Steven Adams, but those two usually take one of the other teams' guys out of the picture. Kanter doesn't do that. His job is to score.

Royce Young of ESPN.com tweeted out that Scott Brooks,"Knows what he's going to do," when Adams comes back healthy. It'll be interesting to see, and the instinct of many fans and writers is that Brooks will go back to Adams for a more defensive presence. After the last few games no one can blame him. This isn't a knock on Kanter, he provides the Thunder with something its never had. However, Oklahoma City prides itself on the defensive end of the floor, and that's not changing no matter how many points Kanter scores.

While everyone in the Thunder starting lineup not named Russell Westbrook struggled, the bench for Oklahoma City stepped up. Dion Waiters recorded a double-double with 20 points on 9-of-15 shooting and 10 rebounds. D.J. Augustin added 17 points while Anthony Morrow scored 11 points thanks to three shots made from behind the arc.

The one brightspot of this game going to overtime was that it allowed Russell Westbrook another chance at a fourth straight triple-double. He was obviously hunting it down the stretch in the fourth quarter, and finally in overtime he set up new fan favorite D.J. Augustin in the corner for that coveted 10th assist.

Westbrook is the first player since Michael Jordan to record four straight triple-doubles. He's also joins the likes of Hall of Famers Oscar Robertson, Maurice Stokes, Magic Johnson, and Wilt Chamberlain to do so.

Now Oklahoma City hits the road to Chicago to take on the Bulls in one of tomorrow nights exclusive games. Both Chicago and Oklahoma City are banged up. Chicago is missing Derrick Rose, Jimmy Butler, and maybe Taj Gibson while Oklahoma City is missing Kevin Durant and Steven Adams remains day-to-day. Tomorrow will be a good test for Kanter and Ibaka. Both are coming off poor games and it will be interesting to see how they respond against the Bulls front line of Pau Gasol and Joakim Noah. Wheels up to the Windy City.
