It was a high scoring game at the Air Canada Centre as both teams were looking for a win. In the end, the Bulls outplayed the Raptors late in the second half to win the game.

Jimmy Butler scored 22 points and was clutch in the second half, making some big time shots. Pau Gasol added 18 points on 7 of 17 shooting. He was a problem down low for the Raptors with his inside scoring. Aaron Brooks pitched in 16 points, making two big threes in the fourth quarter to extend their lead.

DeMar DeRozan put in 20 points along with five assists for Toronto. DeRozan was aggressive and got to the free-throw line a handful of times, going 6 of 6. He also did a good job of distributing the ball and understanding who was hot. Greivis Vasquez took the starting position for the injured Kyle Lowry once again and pushed in 22 points. Whenever he is in the starting lineup, he makes a huge impact on the game.

Lowry was out after leaving last night's game against the Detroit Pistons with back spasms. Hopefully, he can be healthy come playoff time.

For the Bulls, this was a statement win as they are proving to the league that they are not a team you want to play in the playoffs even without Derrick Rose. They improved their record to 44-29. Speaking of Rose, he was taking practice shots prior to the game, so that is a plus for the Bulls.

On the Raptors side, this was a tough loss to swallow as they have now been swept 4-0 in the season series against Chicago. The Raptors were outplaying them in the first half offensively. They got what they wanted but could not play good perimeter defense. In the second half, Toronto went away from what made them successful in the first half.

Chicago outscored Toronto, 39-21, in the fourth en route to victory. Despite the loss, the Toronto Raptors still clinched a playoff spot.

Up next for the Toronto Raptors, they will host the lowly Los Angeles Lakers, while the Bulls will clash against the league's worst team, the New York Knicks.
