Elton Brand has been with the Atlanta Hawks for two seasons as a result of two one-year contracts. The NBA veteran is pondering on whether or not to return for a 17th season.
Brand talked about weighing his options this summer during his exit interviews for the season.
“I’ll see if have I another year of trying to get prepared and what it takes to be on an NBA roster. There is a lot of work you have to put in. … After two or three weeks, I’ll know. See if I have that itch. This time I might not and just lay back on the couch. We’ll see.”
Brand was optimistic about the situation if his career does indeed come to an end this summer. He said that being in Atlanta would be “the greatest place to end it.”
