The Miami Heat made it known early on after they acquired Goran Dragic in a mid-season trade that they wanted to keep the coveted point guard long-term. Seems as if they've gotten their wish with Goran Dragic agreeing to re-sign for a five-year, $90 million contract as reported by ESPN's Marc Stein.

Dragic's deal will also include a player option after the fourth year, the point guard will be 34 by the time that rolls around. Goran Dragic averaged 16.6 points and 5.3 assists per game with the Miami Heat after being traded mid-season from the Phoenix Suns.

The Miami Heat made Goran Dragic and Dwyane Wade their top two priorities from the start of the process and immediately reached out to both players as midnight struck.

Now that Pat Riley and the Heat have come to terms with Dragic, they'll focus their attention on making certain Dwyane Wade is next.

As for Wade, the contact from the Heat was a positive sign of restoring a relationship that appeared fractured, amid the team's concerns of also maintaining payroll flexibility for the 2016 free-agency period when some of the biggest names, such as Kevin Durant, hit the market next summer. Wade is looking for a three-year deal worth $16 million per year after optiong out of $42 million last summer in the Heat's attempt to retain LeBron James.

Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports told FOX Sports that there is a minimal chance Wade leaves the Heat as Miami will likely offer him a max contract. Most NBA sources appear to agree with this notion, but what does it do to the rest of the salary cap? Wade wants a multi-year deal worth upwards of $45 to $60 million according to Wojnarowski.

The Miami Heat will try to unload Mario Chalmers and Chris 'Birdman' Andersen in an attempt to clear up cap space for Wade's new deal.

If the Miami Heat are able to strike a deal with Dwyane Wade their starting five consisting of Hissan Whiteside, Chris Bosh, Luol Deng, Dwyane Wade and Goran Dragic has the potential to be on of the best starting five in the Eastern Conference pending everyone's healthy.

While Goran Dragic can't officially sign until July 9th per NBA rules, it's a good start for the Miami Heat's off-season plans.
