This crazy free agency period just got crazier. According to ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne, the Los Angeles Clippers will not leave DeAndre Jordan’s house until the 26-year-old big man commits to re-signing with them.

After Jordan expressed second thoughts on his looming four-year, $80 million deal with the Dallas Mavericks, Steve Ballmer, Doc Rivers, Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, Paul Pierce, and J.J. Redick flew out to Houston to meet with the NBA All-Defensive center.

Jordan reportedly has full intentions of remaining with the Clippers, but he has yet to officially agree to terms. The NBA moratorium period ends at 12 a.m. Eastern Time in which Jordan can then just officially sign a contract with the Clippers if he does indeed choose to do so. Apparently, the Clippers will not leave Jordan’s house until that time comes.

Additionally, Mark Cuban and Chandler Parsons are not even allowed to go inside Jordan’s house. According to Tim MacMahon of ESPN, Jordan won’t even take a phone call from Cuban or Parsons. It’s almost as if he is trying to avoid the Mavericks until he officially signs with the Clippers. Jordan's agent, Dan Fegan, has been excluded from the meeting as well.

However, earlier in the day Jordan promised a face-to-face meeting with the Mavericks before making a final decision, but the Clippers have basically 'surrounded' Jordan and are confident that he will re-sign with them.

Meanwhile, the Mavericks fear that they won’t get the chance to talk to Jordan tonight and will eventually lose out on the coveted free agent.

There are already reports that the Mavericks are interested in free agent big man Kevin Seraphin as a backup option if they lose Jordan. Also, many speculations are indicating that Dallas will attempt to engage the Indiana Pacers in a sign-and-trade for Roy Hibbert involving Monta Ellis, who agreed to sign with Indiana a few days ago.

The Pacers have agreed to trade Hibbert to the Los Angeles Lakers already, but the deal cannot be finalized until Thursday which gives the Mavericks enough time to possibly pry him away.

The DeAndre Jordan saga has been very entertaining, to say the least. It appears that he is more than likely to remain a Clipper and will fly back to Los Angeles with the team once he signs a deal.
