The Indiana Pacers bounced back after a heartbreaking loss to the Miami Heat, defeating the Orlando Magic 95-86 on the second game of their four-game road trip. This was only the Pacers second win in five games. The Magic certainly didn't give up and made it interesting until the very end. But George Hill and Monta Ellis came up big for the Pacers and shut the door on the Magic's hopes of a win. Hopefully for the Pacers this sparks a win streak.

The Magic proved to be as tough of an opponent as any team on this rough stretch for Indiana. Victor Oladipo led the Magic with 20 points and a handful of clutch shots in the fourth quarter. But their defense failed them in the end, although they got very good contributions from their bench. In fact, the bench is the main reason the game was this close for the Magic, as they outplayed the Pacers bench and held them to very few points.

The Pacers started out on fire tonight and maintained a decent lead, but like much of the night, their defense let the Magic back in it. The biggest issue on the night for the Pacers seemed to be the bench, who couldn't get anything going on offense. Which eventually led to the Magic being so close in the fourth quarter, leading to yet another grind it out game.

Luckily for the bench, George Hill and Monta Ellis were not going to let this game slip away from the Pacers. Hill hit some timely three-pointers to hold the lead for the struggling Pacers. Monta Ellis also ended the game for the Magic by make making all six of his free throws down the stretch to ice the game, along with a jump shot or two. Paul George also made consistent contributions throughout the night and kept the Pacers above the Magic much of the game. Myles Turner and Rodney Stuckey were the only ones off the bench to make good plays throughout the game, the rest of the bench looked lost and fell for another game.

Top Performers:

Pacers: Monta Ellis finished with 19 points, seven assists, three rebounds and four steals. Paul George would lead the team in scoring with 20 points, while adding seven rebounds and three assists. George Hill added 16 points, three assists and three rebounds.

Magic: Victor Oladipo played 41 minutes and accumulated 20 points, five rebounds and three assists. Nikola Vucevic finished with 17 points, four rebounds and two steals. Evan Fournier added 13 points, four assists and three steals.

Three Keys Stats

(6) - The amount of consecutive free throws Monta Ellis hit in the final 1:30 to close the game.

(19.4) - The percentage of made three's the Magic had. They went 6-of-31 from beyond the arc.

(11) - The number of steals that the Pacers had. Another number would be 13, the amount of fast break points Indiana had thanks to some of those steals.

The starters played well the entire night and they looked much better than they have the last four games. That can probably be partially attributed to the fact that they were 100 percent healthy for the first time since Myles Turner got hurt. Thankfully for the Pacers, C.J. Miles and George Hill returned for the Pacers, whereas the Magic had to deal without Elfrid Payton and C.J. Watson, leaving the Magic without two of their main ballhandlers. The Pacers finally managed to grind out a win, and they'll be looking to build on this in their next game.
