Karl-Anthony Towns, Kristaps Porzingis Headline NBA All-Rookie First Team 2016

Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns and New York Knicks forward Kristaps Porzingis headline this year's all-rookie first team.

The results are in, and the NBA's top rookies have been named.

Minnesota TimberwolvesKarl-Anthony Towns and New York KnicksKristaps Porzingis garnered most of the votes for the NBA All-Rookie first team selection, which was announced today. Towns, who is also KIA NBA Rookie of the Year, along with Porzingis, received all 130 First Team votes from a panel made up of heavily acclaimed sports journalists covering the NBA.

Joining Towns and Porzingis are Phoenix Suns' Devin Booker, Denver Nuggets' Nikola Jokic, and Philadelphia 76ers' Jahlil Okafor, who received 103, 73, and 71 votes respectively.

Towns led all rookies in scoring and rebounding with 18.3 points and 10.5 boards. He was also had 51 double-doubles (third in NBA) while starting all 82 games for the Wolves.

Meanwhile, the NBA All-Rookie second team are comprised of Miami Heat's Justice Winslow, Nuggets' Emmanuel Mudiay, Indiana Pacers' Myles TurnerLos Angeles Lakers' D'Angelo Russell, and Willie Causley-Stein of the Sacramento Kings.
