Matt Barnes has been one of the vocal leaders when it comes to discrimination, not only in sports but everywhere. After seeing the terrible incident that happened to Ahmaud Arbery, who was killed by two white men in Georgia while jogging in the street, Barnes did not stay quiet.

The former NBA Champion invited the people from the Los Angeles Area to run for a mile alongside him, in the day that would've been Arbery's birthday.

Multiple people showed up, and jogged around the streets of Gloria St. and Ventura, in front of the Chase Bank in Encino, California. Former NBA player and coach, Earl Watson, also showed up to show support in the valley.

While running, Barnes recorded an Instagram Live video where he encouraged people to show love to each other and sent birthday wishes for Amhaud.

Arbery's killers', Greg and Travis McMichael, were both charged with murder and aggravated assault and are currently booked in the Glynn County Jail.
