ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski confirmed Derrick White underwent a successful surgical procedure to correct a dislocation of his left second toe.

The Spurs guards expected to receive a rookie scale contract extension this offseason, a deal ESPN Front Office Insider Bobby Marks projects to be in the four-year, $52 million range.

He averaged a career-high 11.3 points per game in 2019-2020, and raised his production to 18.9 points per game on 46-39-83 shooting splits over seven seeding games.

White spent a considerable amount of time during the four-month 'NBA hiatus' improving his three point shooting, and it surely has paid off.

Along with Dejounte Murray and Lonnie Walker, White is expected to be the future of the franchise.

This was the first season since 1997 that San Antonio missed the playoffs, snapping the longest playoff streak in NBA history.
