Terrible news for the Orlando Magic ahead of next year. After suffering an early exit in the 2020 NBA playoffs against the Milwaukee Bucks, Steve Clifford's team has already started planning next season.

Unfortunately, the Magic won't be able to have Jonathan Isaac for next year, as the franchise President Jeff Weltman, stated that the 22 year-old will miss the 2020-21 season.

The forward suffered a torn ACL during the 'seeding games' at the NBA campus in Orlando.

Isaac, who suffered a knee injury in January and missed 31 games, was not expected to play again this season, but the team gave him the green light to make his comeback during the restart.

Orlando's Forward was having a breakout season prior to his left knee injury on back in January, being a legitimate All-NBA defensive team candidate. Jonathan was averaging at least 2 blocks and 1.5 steals per game.

Isaac also shot a career-high 47% from the field this season and 34% from 3-point range.

247Sports reported that Issac’s defensive box plus-minus on Basketball Reference would have ranked among the league’s leaders if he had played enough minutes to qualify. Orlando finished the season as the 10th-ranked defense in the association.
