The 'breaking news' battle between Adrian Wojnarowski from ESPN and Shams Charania from The Athletic has become a popular topic amongst the twitter users for some time now.
It is expected to continue for a while, as Complex Sports reported that Shams Charania has agreed to a new contract with The Athletic.

Charania, who joined The Athletic and Stadium in 2018 after previous stops with Yahoo! Sports and RealGM, started exploring whether to move to other outlets but ended up deciding to stay.
His two-year contract with The Athletic was set to expire amid the NBA playoffs but re-signed prior to becoming a free agent.
“I’m thrilled to be staying and look forward to continue growing with a company that is still so hungry and motivated,” Charania said.
The 26-year-old insider, who regularly breaks some of the biggest stories in basketball, went from being a college kid covering Milwaukee Bucks games to being one of the most dialed-in insiders in all of sports media has been among the most unique in the industry.
