We have witnessed history at Orlando, as the Denver Nuggets have secured a spot in the Western Conference Finals after coming back from a 1-3 series deficit against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Even though the Clippers have Paul George’s six All-Star appearances, Kawhi Leonard’s two rings and Finals MVP awards, the Sixth Man of the Year titles belonging to Lou Williams and Montrezl Harrell, Denver fought back and produced one of the best storylines in the history of the game.

Jamal Murray, who is only the second youngest player in history to score 40 points in a Game 7, led the Nuggets along with Nikola Jokic. In only their second year in the playoffs, Denver's '1-2' punch has averaged a combined of 52.5 points per game through the 14 2020 postseason contests.

Denver will now face the Lakers for a chance to make it to the NBA Finals. Led by LeBron James, Los Angeles eliminated the Houston Rockets in a five-game series.

Let's not forget Michael Malone's team also came back from 1-3 in the fist round against the Utah Jazz

The Nuggets are now 6-0 in elimination games during the 2020 NBA Playoffs. They are also the only team in history to ever come back from a 1-3 series deficit twice in the same year.

“Whatever we do in the future I’m always going to remember this team because this is a special crew,” Nikola Jokic said. “Nobody though we would be able to do this and we did. Next is the Lakers and we have to give it all out.”

This is the first time in 11 years that Denver secures a trip to the Western Conference Finals.
