Trade season is here and just a couple of hours in we already got multiple surprising news, as Chris Paul has been traded to the Phoenix Suns

The veteran All-Star was dealt from the Oklahoma City Thunder alongside Abdel Nader to the Southwest in exchange for Kelly Oubre, Ricky Rubio, Ty Jerome, Jalen Lecque and a 2022 first-round pick.

There's no doubt this is a win-win situation for both organizations. Phoenix, who went 8-0 in the 'seeding games' at Orlando, now becomes a contender for a high seed in the Western Conference. On the other hand, the Thunder keeps preparing for the future, adding some young ballers, a first round pick, and a vocal leader in Ricky Rubio.

Paul, is coming off a season in which he averaged 17.6 points and 6.7 assists and still has two years and $85.5 million left on his contract. The veteran guard was also named an All-Star for the first time since 2016 and featured in the All-NBA second team.

This is also a good time to shout out Thunder General Manager Sam Presti, as Oklahoma City now has 16 first-round picks over the next six years.
