The Pacers are expected to be, once again, a tough competitor in the Eastern Conference. Indiana has made the playoffs each of the last five years, and will look to keep that streak going this season.
Once of their key players will be TJ Warren, who had some spectacular performances during the NBA restart at Orlando, is expected to be out for some time with a plantar fasciitis in his right foot.
Warren was named in the All-Bubble first team, averaging 31 points in six games including a 53-point game against Philadelphia to tie the team’s single-game scoring record.
Injury Update: T.J. Warren will be week-to-week due to right foot plantar fasciitis. Also, Brian Bowen II (groin) will be out an estimated six to eight weeks.https://t.co/KLoE1U03tW— Indiana Pacers (@Pacers) December 10, 2020
The Pacers are familiar with this injury, considering is the same issue that kept All-Star forward Domantas Sabonis from returning to action in the bubble.
Indiana also confirmed that they will be without backup guard Brian Bowen II for 6-8 weeks because of a partially torn groin muscle. He spent most of his rookie season in the G-League, playing only six games with Indiana.
