The Capitanes CDMX Era in the NBA G-League has started with the right foot, and although there some moments of adversity, the Mexican side came out on top.
The team coached by Ramón Días defeated the Memphis Hustle by 95-90 to start their inaugural season in the Development League.
Capitanes CDMX went toe to toe with the Hustle in the first half, and despite going down by double digits with less than one quarter to play in the game, the experienced team managed to get back into the game and win it.
Alfonzo Mckinnie led Capitanes in scoring with 20 points while Justin Reyes played a huge role off the bench, recording 13 points in 5-5 from the field and two steals.
The Mexican side secured the win after a great play by Matt Mooney with an outlet pass to Jordan Howard, who hit the three to kill the game.

Coach reaction
''This was a massive win for us,'' Head Coach Ramón Días told VAVEL USA exclusively. ''Of course this was our first ever win in the league so there's plenty to be excited about. However, there's still a lot of work to do in multiple areas of the game.
I'm satisfied because the team competed with a lot of grit and despite being down in the second half we still came out on top. It was a tough training camp so we need time to get better and improve.''
