Thunder Starting Lineup

Here are the 5 Thunder starters for tonight's game in Cleveland:

5:44 PM4 months ago

The Thunder will look to beat the Cavs

Cavs forward Lamar Stevens is listed as likely for the game after missing the last two games with knee soreness.

Cleveland backup point guard Rajon Rondo, who has missed the last five games with a hamstring injury, is questionable. Rondo has played in just three games since he was acquired from the Lakers earlier this month.

NBA Night This Saturday at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse

Oklahoma City's Kenrich Williams returned Friday after missing five games. Derrick Favors has missed the last three games. He was available Friday night but did not see action after missing the previous two games with back pain.

The arrival of the Cavaliers at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse

This is how the Cavaliers arrived at your house a few minutes ago, with comfortable clothes, later we will update the team information on injuries and the starting lineup.

It is a very cold winter afternoon in the city of Cleveland.

This is how the Thunder arrive

The Oklahoma City Thunder have lost four straight and 11 of their last 13. The team is coming off a 121-98 loss at Charlotte last night that continued their recent defensive struggles. While Oklahoma City's defense has been their best side most of the season, ranking in the top half of the NBA in defensive rating for much of the campaign, the Thunder have had a lot of trouble stringing together stops of late.

During its four-game losing streak, Oklahoma City has allowed 112.8 points per 100 possessions. Through the first 41 games, the Thunder's defensive rating was 109.0. Thunder rookie Josh Giddey told the media it was a matter of effort to get ahead.

This is how the Cavaliers arrive

Cleveland has been one of the East's surprises, as the likes of Garland and Jarrett Allen have continued to improve, while Evan Mobley has cemented himself as the favorite for Rookie of the Year. The Cavaliers are coming off a 117-104 loss at Chicago on Wednesday in a matchup of two of the best teams in the Eastern Conference.

That loss snapped a five-game winning streak that included wins in Utah and at home over Brooklyn. Cavaliers coach J.B. Bickerstaff said his team's response to that loss is important. This afternoon, the Cavaliers will face a Thunder team that fights until the end.

The Cleveland Cavaliers won the most recent matchup

The last time the Cleveland Cavaliers faced the Oklahoma City Thunder, on Jan. 15 at Oklahoma City, the Cavaliers needed a big game from Darius Garland. Big games are becoming the norm for Garland. He'll get another chance this afternoon when the Cavaliers face the Thunder in Cleveland. In the last nine games since he returned after missing four games, Garland has averaged 20.7 points, 10.6 assists and 4.7 rebounds.

One of those games was his performance against the Thunder, when he had 27 points and a career-high 18 assists to help the Cavaliers win 107-102 in a game Cleveland never led until the last quarter.

Oklahoma City Thunder

The Oklahoma City Thunder had activity this Friday night and this Saturday they will have a game for the second consecutive night. They lost 118-96 to the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday night. Aaron Wiggins scored 19 points, Lu Dort had 15 and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander added 13 for Oklahoma City. The rebuilding Thunder have lost three in a row and eight of nine.

The Thunder were 8-of-31 from 3-point range and shot very little overall. They are among the worst offensive teams in the NBA this season. They rank dead last in offensive rating and field goal percentage coming into this game against the Cavaliers. Not surprising, considering they are one of the youngest teams in the entire league. Growing pains will be here for a long time and you will have to be patient with the process.

Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cleveland Cavaliers fell to the Chicago Bulls 117-104 in their final game on Wednesday. Lauri Markkanen led Cleveland with 28 points. The Finn made five 3-pointers in his first game in Chicago and his second against the Bulls since a sign-and-trade deal in August. Darius Garland had 20 points and 12 assists. Evan Mobley added 18 points. The Bulls put together a 14-2 run at the end to open the game.

Rajon Rondo (right hamstring soreness) worked out with the G League's Cleveland Charge on Wednesday and the feedback was positive, coach Bickerstaff said. The four-time All-Star missed his fifth straight game. The Cavaliers have been looking for a backup point guard since Ricky Rubio sat out the entire season.

The match will be played at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse

Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse is a multi-use stadium in Cleveland, Ohio. The building is home to the NBA's Cleveland Cavaliers and the AHL American Hockey League's Cleveland Monsters. In addition, it serves as a secondary stadium for the Cleveland State Vikings basketball.

It opened on October 17, 1994 as part of the Gateway Sports and Entertainment Complex with adjacent Progressive Field, which opened in April of that year. The facility replaced the Richfield Coliseum as the region's premier entertainment facility and the home of the Cavaliers. From its opening in October 1994 to August 2005, it was known as Gund Arena, and was renamed in April 2019 to Quicken Loans' online home loan service, Rocket Mortgage, as part of the renovation and expansion of the installation.

Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse seats 19,432 people in its configuration for basketball games and up to 18,926 for ice hockey. It is a frequent venue for concerts and other sporting events.
