The Houston Rockets have offered Chris Bosh a 4-year contract worth $88 million. With the Rockets all but certain they have missed out on the Carmelo sweepstakes they have put Chris Bosh as their number one priority.

The Rockets have been searching for a third player to team alongside Dwight Howard and James Harden to move them into serious title contention and form their own "Big 3."

From a basketball persepective Bosh makes a lot of sense as he can be a stretch 4 that is still in the prime of his career. The Rockets have stated they have a plan in place to trade Jeremy Lin's contract, one that is due to pay him $15 million next season, in order to avoid the luxury tax.

The move will allow Bosh to move back to his home state of Texas, while playing for a viable title contender. Bosh has stated all along his number one option is to stay in Miami, but with LeBron James not a guarantee it makes sense for Bosh to consider the Rockets as a potential destination.

Out of Miami's "Big 3" Bosh is perhaps the most likely to leave, as the Heat will try to replace Bosh with Carmelo Anthony. Bosh still hopes to remain in Miami, but he also wants one more lucrative contract as he is on the back end of his prime.

This may signal the end of the "Big 3" down in South Beach, but for Bosh a Houston deal would allow him to be part of a new "Big 3." We have waited this past week for the first big domino to fall and we now may be a that point.
