A powerhouse performance from Tevin Coleman was enough for the Indiana Hoosiers to get past Indiana State, 28-10. Coleman ran for 247 of the Hoosiers' 455 rushing yards.

After a 50 minute weather delay due to lightning, Indiana wasted no time on their first possession. Indiana went 76 yards in 9 plays to get to the end zone. All 76 yards were gained on the ground with Coleman ending the drive with a 13 yard touchdown.

Indiana State got their first points after fumbled punt by J-Shun Harris II. Eric Heidorn hit a 31 yard field goal to make it a 7-3 game.

Indiana got the ball back and Tevin Coleman score another rushing touchdown. Coleman took the ball 73 yards to the house and Indiana led 14-3. D'Angelo Roberts added a third rushing touchdown from 2 yards out to extend the lead to 21-3.

Buck Logan ran for a touchdown of his own for Indiana State to close the score to 21-10. Indiana let Myles Graham into the rushing touchdown act with a 1 yard score to get the final score line of 28-10.

It was a dominant rushing performance by the Hoosiers. D'Angelo Roberts had 24 carries for 129 yards and 1 touchdown. The team averaged 6.6 yards per rush while Coleman had an average of 10.7 by himself.

Nate Sudfeld went 11 of 18 for 111 yards and 1 interception through the air. When a team rushes as well as Indiana did, there is not much incentive to risk an interception through the air. Simmie Cobbs led the Hoosiers in catches (3) and yards (57).

Mike Perish went 17 of 32 for 140 yards for Indiana State. Buck Logan had 10 carries for 47 yards and the lone Indiana State touchdown. Robert Tonyan Jr had 4 catches for 47 yards to lead the Sycamores.

Indiana State will play a home game next week against Tennessee Tech before facing Ball State on September 13. Indiana has a potential trap game, as they travel to Bowling Green to face the Falcons. The good news is that Bowling Green gave up 569 yards passing to Brandon Doughty. If the Hoosiers run game is not working, they can always go to Sudfeld's arm.
