On a cold night in Neyland Stadium, Tennessee's offense was on fire most of the night. This game is technically considered a rivalry but looking at the stats it seems anything but that. Tennessee had won 28 of the previous 29 meetings with Kentucky. Make that 29 of the last 30. Tennessee beat Kentucky in every facet of the game for the entire night. This game was never in question. It never looked like Kentucky would get back in the game. A Kentucky team that started out 5-1 has now dropped 5 straight games. Their last game for the year is against Louisville so a bowl game that seemed almost certain halfway through the year could easily not happen now for the Wildcats. Tennessee moves to 5-5 with a home game against Missouri and a game at Vanderbilt to end the year. Both games look winable and it appears that a bowl game is coming.

Joshua Dobbs, or Astro Dobbs, showed that the South Carolina game was no fluke. Dobbs completed 19 of 27 passes for 297 yards and 3 touchdowns. He also ran for an additional score on the night and looked very good. Jalen Hurd had his third 100 yard game rushing for 118 yards and a touchdown. The Vols defense rebounded after the South Carolina game giving up less than 300 total yards, and holding Kentucky to 94 rushing yards. Tennessee looks to continue their winning ways playing host to Missouri next week which could bring bowl eligibility to the Vols for the first time since Lane Kiffin was the head coach.
