The Northeastern Conference is always up and down with what exactly to expect from year to year. Usually you see a team from Sacred Heart or Robert Morris make it into the NCAA tournament from here, but the Bryant Bulldogs and St. Francis Terriers both still have a strong shot.

In this matchup at home, the Terriers simply were going to take over from start to finish. They scored early and often into the first half, and took a 34-20 lead at the half. But in the second half it was much more even, with St. Francis outscoring them 29-27 in the second half to reach the final score.

The two key players in the game for the Terriers are Junior Guard Tyreek Jewell and Senior Forward Jalen Cannon. Jewell went ahead and scored 15 points and 5 rebounds to lead the Terriers in scoring. Cannon was great as well getting 8 points and 8 rebounds to be the big man in the middle for the Terriers.

The Bulldogs just could not get anything going on offense and their best scorer was Hunter Ware off the bench for 13 points on 5-11 shooting, which was much better as the team only shot 17-53 (32.1%) from the floor as a team.

The Bryant Bulldogs (4-7, 1-1 NEC) will take the court again on Thursday when they take on the St. Francis (PA) Red Flash (8-5, 2-0 NEC) at home. But St. Francis (NY) Terriers (8-7, 2-0 NEC) will travel to the Rothman Center to take on the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights (7-6, 2-0 NEC) also on Thursday night.
