Andrew Rowsey has been able to save the UNC-Asheville Bulldogs many times this season, and he has done it once again, putting forth a Bunyan-esque effort of 34 points to lead his team to a victory over conference bottom-dwellers Liberty Flames. Rowsey could hardly miss from the outside, going 7-10 from beyond the arc to fluster the Flames.

UNC-Asheville rarely went down low in this affair, relying on Rowsey and the rest of their guards to get to the finish line. Along with Rowsey, David Robertson and Sam Hughes both scored in double-figures.

The Lynchburg, VA natives of Liberty tried to stay in the game by using an entirely different offensive strategy than the Bulldogs, utilizing their post presence. Canadian native David Andoh had 21 points off of the bench along with 10 rebounds, and Andrew Smith contributed 16 points and 9 rebounds.

Liberty hung around in the game for quite a while, but a 12-4 Asheville run with 7 minutes left in the 2nd half doomed the Flames, as the offense of the Bulldogs pulverized LU.

The Flames disappointing season comes to a close, while the Bulldogs of UNC-Asheville look to try and upset Coastal Carolina on Friday.
