The fourth ranked 2-0 Michigan State Spartans, coming off a 31-28 over Oregon, take on the 2-0 Air Force Falcons at 12:00 PM ET at Spartan Stadium in East Lansing, Michigan. The Spartans are a 27.5 point favorite.

The Spartans have one of the nation's best run defenses, allowing just 70 yards per game this season (13th) and 97 last season (6th), while the Falcons have one of the nation's best run offenses, averaging 411 yards (2nd in nation) this season and 273 last season (7th in nation).

This creates a very intriguing matchup in the first time these two teams will have played each other.

Michigan State defensive line coach Ron Burton spent 7 years at Air Force, meaning he'll have a deep understanding for the Air Force triple option rushing attack and how to stop it. Air Force is also 17-71 against ranked opponents and without their starting quarterback Nate Romine who suffered a knee injury last game.

Air Force looks to be deeply outmatched on both sides of the ball tonight, but their rushing attack has historically caused problems for many teams. The Spartans defense line however, outweighs the Falcon's offense line by nearly 30 pounds, and play with speed and intensity.

Fullback DJ Johnson leads the Air Force rushing attack, as he ran for 103 yards and 3 touchdowns in the Falcons 37-16 win over San Jose State last week. Garret Brown and Jacobi Owens provide the speed at running back, with wide receivers like Jalen Robinette who can block well and make catches down field on the play-action pass.

Air Force's defense has been stellar through two games, allowing 11.5 points and 101 rushing yards, and 141 passing yards, but they haven't seen an offense like Michigan State's that features Heisman candidate Connor Cook at quarterback and a three-headed rushing attack with freshmen Madre London and LJ Scott, and sophomore Gerald Homles.

If Michigan State plays to their full ability, it should be a comfortable and easy win, as Air Force is simply outmatched on both sides of the ball.
