Kentucky was 0-3 in Bud Walton Arena in the John Calipari era going into their matchup with the Arkansas Razorbacks. Calipari finally was able to leave Fayetteville with a win when his team needed it most.

Mount Washington Mauling

Kentucky's Derek Willis replaced Marcus Lee in the starting lineup after Calipari said his play at Auburn and during practice gave him the green light.

Willis had his best defensive game of the year with four blocks and a steal to go with his 12 points and seven rebounds. The junior is normally judged for his defense, but was a solid rim protector against Arkansas.

With Kentucky's Alex Poythress and Lee in foul trouble all game, they needed something from Willis to keep Arkansas at bay. His shooting and rebounding ability gave the Wildcats a large lead the Razorbacks could never piece away.

Controlled Tempo

Arkansas scores the most fast break points of any team in the country this year and Kentucky did an amazing job keeping the game at the tempo they wanted.

The Razorbacks only scored five fast break points and averaged 20 seconds per possession. Slowing down the game is the best way to beat Arkansas.

The Guard(s)

The guards of Kentucky went an abysmal 0-for-11 from the field to begin the game for Kentucky, until Jamal Murray was able to break the slump.

At one point in the game, Tyler Ulis decided he wanted to play dominant basketball. He did his best to match his near triple-double at Auburn with a career high 24 points and five assists.

USATSI

Ulis continues to impress as his slaughter of SEC play doesn't seem to be coming to an end. Teams look to stop Ulis, but they find themselves in foul trouble trying to do so.

Labissiere is Here

Skal Labissiere had his highest scoring game of the season since December with 11 points to go with three blocks.

Labissiere needs to show up more on the boards, but seeing the big man get the basketball to fall will make his teammates more confident in him going forward.

His statistics aren't eye-opening, but for a struggling freshmen, Kentucky will take whatever contribution he gives them.

Player Statistics

Tyler Ulis- Ulis continues to create new career highs for himself with his 24 points and five assists. Kentucky's leader is easily becoming their biggest scoring threat.

Dusty Hannahs- Hannahs was hitting shots Kentucky was unable to defend any better. There were times he hit shots with three defenders draped on him. He finished with 20 points on 7-of-14 shooting for the Razorbacks.

Jamal Murray- Murray was unable to extend his five-game streak of 20-point games, but finished with 19 points and seven rebounds. He struggled with his outside shot, only going 1-of-7 from the perimeter.

Anthlon Bell- Bell looked nowhere near his average at halftime, but finished just one point shy with 16 points on 5-of-12 shooting. He had difficulty finding his shot as he was defended by different UK players almost every possession.
