ANN ARBOR, Michigan -- Caris LeVert went through pregame workouts with Derrick Walton Jr. and Zak Irvin prior to the Michigan Wolverines game with the No. 18 Purdue Boilermakers. LeVert will be active for the game and will play, a source told VAVEL USA. The shooting guard will play a limited amount of minutes on Saturday afternoon.

Michigan head coach John Beilein has said over and over that when LeVert goes through warmups, it will mean he is ready to play basketball. LeVert spent about 20 minutes shooting around with Walton and Irvin, which is the first time he has been seen on the court before the game since the injury. The 6-foot-7 guard has not spoke to reporters since the injury.

LeVert injured his lower left leg against the Illinois Fighting Illini on December 20, 2015 and has missed 11 games since he suffered the injury. At the time of the injury, LeVert was averaging 17.6 points, 5.4 rebounds and 5.2 assists across 32.4 minutes per game.

Michigan defeated the Minnesota Golden Gophers 82-74 in Minneapolis, Minnesota on Wednesday and Beilein said LeVert was a "possible gametime decision" for that game.

The Maize and Blue have a true test against the Boilermakers and LeVert, an All-American and possible first round National Basketball Association draft pick, will look to bring Michigan to victory in his first game back.

Michigan owns a 18-7 overall record and are 8-4 in the Big Ten Conference. The Wolverines have six regular season games left and will look to end on a high note to make the NCAA Tournament. The Wolverines missed the NCAA Tournament last season, due to their .500 record. Michigan will get LeVert back, but other players will need to continue stepping up to provide relief because LeVert will only play a limited amount of minutes.
