If there is one helmet that is unmistakable in college soccer in the United States, it is that of Ohio State, one of the teams with the longest tradition.

Whatever happens in this game will change the standings for next Tuesday because one of the two will lose. The underdog is Michigan despite being at home, but if they pull off the upset Ohio State could come out of the top 4 in the nation.

Ohio State has only lost once on the season and, of their last five games, the tightest was Penn State where they won 33-24.

It is expected that between the two universities there will be an explosion of points and between them they will score a combined 64.5, in a weather that will be complicated because rain could appear.

A tight game is expected between these two universities, although Ohio State is favored over Michigan by a 7-point margin.

If Michigan wants to take the win the key will be in the ground game with Hassan Haskins, where he has carried the ball 213 times for 1,063 yards, and 13 touchdowns.

C.J. Stroud has drawn a lot of attention because he's only in his first year and is putting up very good numbers, throwing for 3,468 yards (eighth-best in the nation), 36 touchdowns (fourth-best) and five interceptions.

The two teams, both Ohio State and Michigan, have the same record of 10 wins and just one loss; the difference is that the Buckeyes are undefeated in their conference with eight wins and the Wolverines are at 7-1.

Likewise, Michigan will have its litmus test in the campaign where they are currently the sixth best team in the nation, but a win would move them up or a loss would move them down from that place; they wiped Maryland off the field last Saturday 56-18, but one of their "deficiencies" is the passing game where they are averaging only 229.5 yards per game.

This will undoubtedly be a litmus test for Ohio State in order to see what they are made of for the final stretch of the season. They have only lost one game, but their offensive capacity is extraordinary, averaging 355 yards combined between air and ground; last week they crushed Michigan State 56-7.
