The Seattle Seahawks have positions on the team that will need to be filled. Many people will say they have a need for another defensive lineman, tight end, wide receiver and possibly another running back to name a few. It's time to take a look at some of the players that will be free agents at the wide receiver position.

There are so many big name wide receivers that will potentialy hit the market come March 10th. The real big name receivers such as Dez Bryant and Demaryius Thomas will most likely never hit free agency. If they somehow do make it that far, they will be gobbled up before the Seahawks ever would have a chance at signing them. It's not like the Seahawks needs a big named, "diva" type of receiver to go with the run oriented offense. With that in mind, let's take a look at some lower level receivers that would be a good fit in Seattle.

First receiver to look at is Michael Crabtree. It's amazing to think Crabtree has been in the league six years now, man time flies. He is a former first round pick that quite frnakly, has not lived up to his draft position. He has had one solid yer in his career and that was in 2012 when he had 85 cathces for 1,105 yard and nine touchdowns. The last two years he has combined for 87 cathces for 982 yard and five touchdowns. Granted he only played in 21 of a possible 32 games in that time frame due to a knee injury he suffered early in 2013 season. One bright side if he comes to Seattle as a free agent, he would only have to face All-Pro cornerback Richard Sherman in practice.

The second receiver is Torrey Smith who is coming off his fourth year as a member of the Baltimore Ravens. Smith has had one huge year and that was in 2013 when he had 65 cathes for 1,128 and four touchdowns. He has never missed a game in his career and he can also return punts. He is still young and would be a great fit for a run oriented offense. Not extremely big as he is 6' 0" and 206 pounds but he can go up and get the ball.

The most likely candidate to land in Seattle as a free agent wide receiver in this writers mind is Cecil Shorts. Yes, that Cecil Shorts in Jacksonville. 2014 was not a great year for him so the Seahawks could potentially get him on the cheap. His best year was 2012 when he caught 55 passes for 979 yards and seven touchdowns. Not bad for a receiver playing with the likes of Blaine Gabbert, Chad Henne and Blake Bortles.Another smaller receiver as he is only 6' and 200 lbs but I like his make up and style. Shorts caught only 53 of 110 targets last year for 557 yards and one touchdown, with seven drops and a fumble. That only helps the Seahawks in this matter.
