Last Season Cleveland Browns did not have high exceptions. They had expectations of having a losing team since they are a rebuilding team. They got a good defense and a good receiving core they got depth in the receiving core. With reports that they have claimed former star Ohio State QB recently turned NFL WR Terrell Pryor off waivers.

Being an undrafted rookie being picked in the supplemental draft Pryor has played for four teams in his career. In Oakland, Seattle, Kanas City, and most recently Cincinnati. He last played in 2013 starting eleven games for Oakland Raiders throwing for 1,798 yards 7 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. He also ran for 576 yards on 83 attempts 2 touchdowns and 2 fumbles.

Pryor was picked by the Raiders hoping to become a franchise quarterback for them. That did not go out so well. The experiment lasted two seasons when he got waived. He then went to Seattle. He was not good enough to win the backup quarterback job so he got cut there as well. This offseason he got picked up by Kanas City. This did not go well. Then Pryor got picked up by Cincinnati and this failed as well. Now he is getting picked up by Cleveland.

Even though he has gotten a lot of chances in the league there is still a lot to like about the former quarterback turned wide receiver. He has great speed so he will be able to get past the secondary easily. We do not know if he has great hands. Knowing from his speed he is going to be a fast receiver. Now changing to receiver might be a good chance for him to make it to an NFL Roster past training camp. Making a difference on a pro team.

Once the Bengals cut him, Pryor put some photos of himself taking wide receiver snaps at Bengals training camp. There is a reason why Cincinnati would be mad. Pryor might have gone a little overboard by doing that. He has a reputation since being the quarterback of Ohio State of creating controversy being in the spotlight.

Cleveland is willing to take a risk on Pryor. He will most likely be slotted as a wide receiver. So that is where Cleveland will probably keep him at if this all goes well. Cleveland will get a speedy receiver to add to the wide receiver depth. If this does not work out for the team it will not cost them anything but it is worth a try to see what potential Pryor has at receiver.
