There have been countless rumors and speculation about Dez Bryant and his relationship with the Dallas Cowboys from the very moment the franchise tag was placed on him. However, the more and more the calendar inches towards July 15, the more and more likely it seems that a long-term deal is imminent for the Pro Bowl wide receiver.

Dez Bryant is one of the most talented wide receivers in the NFL, not only just from a football perspective but as an overall athlete. Bryant trains and maintains his body like very few of his peers, which has made him the elite player that he has displayed throughout his career.

Aside from his talent, Bryant is also one of the most passionate and emotional players about the game of football both on and off the field. He not only goes 100 percent during game time but also in team practices and drills, Dez knows of only one speed and that's supersonic anytime he's out there with his teammates.

The emotion he displays on camera is misunderstood by the general public but is beloved by the entire Dallas Cowboys organization. Jason Witten calls him the emotional leader of the team and the tone setter out on the practice field and locker room.

Dez Bryant lives and breathes football which is why it makes it so difficult for anyone in the Cowboys organization to believe he would actually sit out of games and nearly 850k game checks.

Bryant is coming off his rookie deal contract so he hasn't exactly earned the big time money and would be almost inconceivable for him to boycott regular season games. Bryant wasn't even able to miss voluntary OTA's without making an appearance. That's how much he loves playing football and putting in the work alongside his teammates.

He also has high admiration from the city of Dallas, and it has been reported that he will partake in assisting the Dallas Mavericks in their pursuit of coveted free agents DeAndre Jordan and LaMarcus Aldridge. Jerry Jones and Tony Romo are also expected to participate in the Mavs recruiting efforts. Bryant made a comment at Dirk Nowitzki's celebrity baseball game in Frisco, TX this past Saturday, June 27, that he encourages everyone in the DFW metroplex to tweet DeAndre Jordan and LaMarcus Aldridge and encourage them to come to Dallas.

Now does that sound like a player that is at all disgruntled with his team about contract negotiations or someone who plans on skipping a regular season game or two? Dez Bryant loves the city and the fans, they're as much a part of him as he is to the city.

Alongside Dez Bryant's love for the game of football and the city of Dallas, Jerry Jones and Stephen Jones know how valuable Dez Bryant is to this team who has Super Bowl aspirations. Many analysts consider Dallas to be a contender this season and that's the momentum Jerry Jones wants to maintain heading into the season. Jerry Jones wants to make Dez Bryant a "Cowboy for life," and while the two sides have been fairly distant over the last few months, there are signs that things may be coming to a conclusion.

Bryant's agent met with the Cowboys execs Thursday, June 25, for the first time in nearly four months and seemed to be getting down to business with the deadline only two weeks away.

There have been recent reports from Dallas Cowboys insider, Mike Fisher, that the numbers 100 and 45 have been floating out there as possible indications of a new long-term deal. The blueprint over the last couple months has lingered around a seven-year deal worth around $100 million with the guaranteed money just north of $30 million. Dez Bryant's camp may be looking into stretching that guaranteed money into the 40's but that has yet to be determined.

Point is that with the deadline looming, it seems evident that a deal will be struck as the Dallas Cowboys have never expressed any concerns over the Dez Bryant so called 'situation.'

The odds are very high that a Dez Bryant deal will be signed and some Cowboy insiders are even saying it could come by the end of this week. Stay tuned.
