SEATTLE, WA -- Yet another star Seattle Seahawks player has been signed to a contract extension. Rand Getlin of NFL Network reported that their star middle linebacker Bobby Wagner has signed a contract extension just two days after quarterback Russell Wilson signed one. According to Doug Farrar of Sports Illustrated, it is a 4-year deal worth $43 million, with $22 million guaranteed, making Wagner the highest paid middle linebacker in the NFL.

Wagner was arguably a top two middle linebacker last year, perhaps only behind Carolina Panthers star Luke Kuechly. In fact, Herm Edwards famously voted Bobby Wagner for league MVP last season. Wagner has been a tackling machine since entering the league in 2012. He racked up 140 tackles in 2012, 120 tackles in only 14 games in 2013, and 104 tackles in only 11 games last season. He also has 5 career interceptions.

The ironic part of all this was that after Wilson signed his blockbuster deal two days ago, Wagner tweeted out a cryptic message stating, "Can't keep everyone," which was presumed to mean that he believed the Seahawks were not going to have the money to keep him. Well, he just got a brand new deal to keep him with the Seahawks through the 2019 season.

Up next for Seattle in contract extensions is strong safety Kam Chancellor, another player who is arguably the best at his position. It's not easy for Seattle to pay every one of their top players, but it's a problem any general manager would love to have. Gregg Rosenthal of NFL.com pointed out a scary stat for fans of the 31 other NFL teams, "The Seahawks have the following players under contract for the next three years: Russell Wilson, Jimmy Graham, Richard Sherman, Marshawn Lynch, Earl Thomas, Kam Chancellor, Bobby Wagner, Michael Bennett, Cliff Avril, and K.J. Wright." Let's all just save some time and give the "Team of the 2010's" award to the Seattle Seahawks.
