It was a clutch two minute drive for Jay Cutler and the Chicago Bears offense as he led the Bears down the field in crunch time. This set up the game winning field goal by Robbie Gould and it gave the Bears their first win of 2015.

It was a solid performance on both sides of the Bears after they were dominated by the Seattle Seahawks two weeks earlier.

The Bears defense took advantage of some key mistakes by Latavius Murray and made plays when they had to against the Oakland Raiders. Tracy Porter had a great second half covering Amari Cooper as he shut down one of the top rookie wideouts during the half. Pernell McPhee created havoc and made a key third down stop before the game winning drive. They showed some potential against Seattle, pressuring Russell Wilson and McPhee having two sacks against the NFC Champions.

But the Bears will have to improve on this performance. Thankfully for the defense, they might not be in as much trouble this time.

They will be facing a Kansas City Chiefs offense which has struggled this year in the passing game. Although they have huge passing threats like Jamaal Charles, Jeremy Maclin, and Travis Kelce, the Chiefs have yet to register a passing touchdown at home this year. For a Bears defense that has struggled against the pass this year, this is great news. But they will still have to deal with the deep threat that Maclin poses. He loves to line up in the slot and just go deep. He will be the biggest threat deep for the Chiefs.

But stopping the run should be the Bears first priority. They stopped the run well against Oakland, but Latavius Murray and Jamaal Charles are two completely different players. Charles is one of the best running backs in football but has struggled this year. Although he has four rushing touchdowns this year, Charles has only registered more than 100 yards rushing in a game just once this year. But he also registers as a passing threat, catching balls out of the backfield and making plays in space. He is a very similar player to Matt Forte and Chicago will have to cope with his dual threat ability.

Chicago will likely have the same formula on offense. Control the clock and pound the ball with Forte. Cutler is still recovering from injury and Alshon Jeffrey will likely be out again. Without one of his main targets, expect Cutler to target the likes of Marquess Wilson, Eddie Royal, and Martellus Bennett. Forte is also a threat in the passing game as well.

It is a battle between two 1-3 teams and it will host two struggling teams looking to turn around their seasons.
