Nothing is official, but this could turn into a crazy whirlwind of issues in the sporting world.

However, it is worth noting that according to Al-Jazeera's Investigative Unit, Peyton Manning, Ryan Howard, Ryan Zimmerman, Clay Matthews and a few other athletics have been linked to a human growth hormone, which is a type of performance enhancing drug. The report was backed up by the Huffington Post

Manning jumped right out after the report was made and said, "The allegation that I would do something like that is complete garbage and is totally made up. It never happened. Never. I really can not believe somebody would put something like this on the air. Whoever said this is making stuff up."

The body naturally produces HGH in the pituitary gland and it is made to grow cells and regenerate them when they die. In 1981, HGH was made in laboratories to become a popular performance enhancing drug. It can cause enlarged bones and vital organs. It can be very dangerous to the human body.

As many know, Manning, who was then playing for the Indianapolis Colts, missed the 2011 football season after having neck surgery. A pharmacist, Charlie Sly, told Liam Collins, who went undercover to expose the downfall of performance enhancing drugs in sports across the globe, that he was "part of a medical team that helped [Manning] recover" from the neck issue.

After the 2011 season was over, Manning returned to the field in 2012 with the Denver Broncos. He completed a league high 68.6 percent of all passes across 16 starts. Manning threw for 4,659 yards, which at that time was a career-high, with 37 touchdowns and just 11 interceptions.

Sly had his license as a pharmacy intern from April 2010 to May 2013. He ws employed at the Guyer Institute in Indianapolis.

All the time we would be sending Ashley Manning drugs,” Sly says. “Like growth hormone, all the time, everywhere, Florida. And it would never be under Peyton’s name, it would always be under her name.”

This means that Peyton would not have the drugs under his name, only under Ashley Manning's name. Of course, Manning's agent denied the report, but the agent's report does not deny that growth hormones were sent to the wife of Manning. The report by Al Jazeera noted that steroids were shipped and other drugs.

Any medical treatment received by Ashley is a private matter of hers, her doctor, and her family,” the agent said.

Along with Manning, Sly named Howard of the Philadelphia Phillies, Zimmerman of the Washington Nationals, Matthews of the Green Bay Packers and a few other athletes. Besides the four big names, Mike Neal and Julius Peppers of the Packers, James Harrison of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Taylor Teagarden of the Chicago Cubs were noted as athletes who got the performance enhancing drug. Believe it or not, Mike Tyson, a boxer, was mentioned as one of the athletes who received supplements.

A statement was made by the attorney for both Howard and Zimmerman:

It’s inexcusable and irresponsible that Al Jazeera would provide a platform and broadcast outright lies about Mr. Howard and Mr. Zimmerman. The extraordinarily reckless claims made against our clients in this report are completely false and rely on a source who has already recanted his claims.  We will go to court to hold Al Jazeera and other responsible parties accountable for smearing our clients’ good names.”

Sly named Dustin Keller as a participant of the drug, called Delt-2, as a tight end with the Purdue Boilermakers and before the NFL Combine, along with the Miami Dolphins. Sly used Delta-2 because it was not detectable. It was designed to stay ahead of drug tests.

"It stings me, whoever this guy is, to insinuate that I cut corners, I broke NFL rules in order to get healthy. It's a joke. It's a freaking joke," Manning said, reiterating that he did not use HGH.

The Broncos defended Manning in a statement Sunday morning, saying, "Peyton does things the right way."

"Knowing Peyton Manning and everything he stands for, the Denver Broncos support him 100 percent," the team said. "These are false claims made to Al Jazeera, and we don't believe the report.

"Peyton is rightfully outraged by the allegations, which he emphatically denied to our organization and which have been publicly renounced by the source who initially provided them."

VAVEL USA will update this story and provide more information as it is released by Al-Jazeera and other media outlets.

It is only fair to note that Liam Collins was part of a scam in Britain's Got Talent after making it as a semi-finalist in 2009. He was banned from directing a company for 14 years and was dished out a £874,000 fee.
