From all of us at VAVEL USA, we are very thankful for your continued support. Congratulations to the Denver Broncos on their Super Bowl 50 victory! I'm Ben Anderson, and the sports world never ceases to turn...Goodnight.

Final, 24-10: Peyton Manning, in what will likely be the final game of his career, gets a victory in Super Bowl 50. However, Peyton won this game behind his team's defense. Through brutal hits and impressive pass protection, Denver gave the Carolina Panthers fits.

Rocky Mountain High: The Denver Broncos Have Won Super Bowl 50, 24-10!

4th Q, 30 Secs Left: Kubiak gets the Gatorade treatment!

4th Q, 1:00: Cam Newton is obviously demoralized. He will have to come out for a final possession with 1 minute left, all hope lost. Panthers are going by and congratulating Peyton Manning, including Josh Norman.

4th Q, 2 Minute Warning: The Super Bowl is in the bag for the Denver Broncos, it looks like. Through a super-human performance from the Denver defense, the Broncos have annihilated Cam Newton's passing attack. This has to be one of the best Super Bowl defensive performances we have seen in many, many years.

4th Q, 2:08: The Panthers opt to punt on 4th and 24. It's quitting time for the boys from Charlotte.

4th Q, 2:48: GOODNIGHT CAM NEWTON! DeMarcus Ware SACKS Cam Newton, and it's 3rd and 24.

4th Q, 3:02: Denver is trying to seal the deal. Wade Phillip's defense is still rocking.

4th Q, 3:08: MANNING TO FOWLER, and the 2 point conversion is GOOD! Denver is well on their way toward winning Super Bowl 50!

4th Q, 3:08: Denver going for two to make it a 2 touchdown advantage.

4th Q, 3:13: Manning throws it over Thomas, but there is a penalty on the Panthers. Fresh set of downs for Broncos, and they MAKE THE MOST OUT OF IT! CJ ANDERSON SHOULDERS HIS WAY THROUGH FOR THE TOUCHDOWN!

4th Q, 4:00: Newton could have fell down and attempted to retain the football, but gave up on the ball. No effort whatsoever by Cam Newton after that fumble, and now Denver is in a great position to potentially ice this game.

4th Q, 4:04: CAM NEWTON FUMBLES THE BALL! Ball bounces around, ends up in TJ WARD'S FINGERTIPS AT THE CAROLINA 4 YARD LINE!

4th Q, 4:16: Cam cannot connect with Funchess on that throw, just out of reach.

4th Q, 4:46: Tolbert gets a yard on first down, Danny Trevathan tackles him.

4th Q, 5:00: PUNT. Carolina Panthers about to go on their most important drive of the game.

4th Q, 6:17: Denver offense is playing to lose this game. 3rd and 9 already, looks like a slowly dying Bronco offense.

4th Q, 7:48: Deflected pass on 2nd down. Got the pass to Cotchery, but he is slammed out of bounds by Ward and Harris Jr. Punt by Carolina as the game is winding down.

4th Q, 8:19: Another false start on Carolina. So out of sync this entire game, yet they are only down 6 points. 2nd and 15.

4th Q, 9:30: CJ Anderson with another carry, nothing. On third down, Josh Norman tips it away from Thomas. Carolina has the spotlight back on them down 6.

4th Q, 10:08: Denver going slow, chewing a little clock.

4th Q, 10:26: Looks like Bradley Roby should have been called for pass interference on Ted Ginn Jr., but the flag was not thrown and the pass was incomplete. Gano goes out for the field goal and it is GOOD. Carolina cuts the Broncos' lead to 6.

4th Q, 10:41: Penalty on Michael Oher. 3rd and 10 Carolina.

4th Q, 12:00: Philly Brown is out for the game, looks like he attained a concussion earlier. Cam Newton does still have many weapons at his disposal, but Brown has been impressive in this game.

4th Q, 13:00: Cam Newton zips it up the middle to Devin Funchess, to the Denver 34. Then a first down to the 22 after one of Stewart's best runs of the game. Carolina with momentum.

4th Q, 13:17: The former Missouri Tiger Kony Ealy is doing everything under his power to keep the Panthers in this game. This is possibly the most important possession of the game for Carolina, and Cam Newton knows it.

4th Q, 13:17: KONY EALY STRIP SACKED MANNING! CAROLINA RECOVERS!

4th Q, 14:30: Denver Broncos with the ball, start with a penalty. This was followed by a drop by Manning and a failed run by Anderson. Peyton wants a deep shot.

End Of 3rd Quarter: The first half was no fluke - Denver's defense is out to take Cam Newton to the ground, and their plan is working. Newton is taking a beating. The formerly high-flying Carolina offense looks lost as it's 16-7 Denver going into the final quarter of Super Bowl 50.

3rd Q, 40 Secs Left: Von Miller and Derek Wolfe with the pressure, DOWN Newton! Another failed possession for the Panthers as the 3rd comes to a close!

3rd Q, 1:44: Another penalty on Carolina, then a nice pass to the open Greg Olsen. 3rd and 8.

3rd Q, 2:10: Ginn Jr. with the catch, first down for Carolina. He's been electric in this 2nd half with 74 yards. No points for Carolina to show for it.

3rd Q, 3:00: Stewart bottled up again. Running game for Carolina has been dead, and Fozzy Whittaker is in the locker room with a leg injury.

3rd Q, 3:30: Although Denver's defense has gotten most of the laud in this game, Carolina's corp is playing very admirably. Solid tackling by Ealy and Kuechly. Denver punts.

3rd Q, 4:28: Kony Ealy, arguably the best player of the day for Carolina, downs Peyton Manning in the backfield. 3rd and 17 for Denver!

3rd Q, 5:44: 3rd Carolina turnover in this game.

3rd Q, 5:44: WILD sequence, and Denver has the ball! Ball was first tipped into the hands of safety TJ Ward, and then he fumbled it. However, Broncos' Danny Trevathan lands on it and holds on! Denver ends yet another Carolina drive!

3rd Q, 5:57: Ware almost sacked Cam Newton, but the Panthers' QB gets it off just in time.

3rd Q, 6:20: Stewart curves for a first down.

3rd Q, 7:30: Throwing into double coverage, Cam Newton heaves, NAILING Philly Brown for the 40+ yard catch. Newton didn't have much time to launch that one, but the play worked.

3rd Q, 8:18: Everyone is waiting for Cam Newton to find some consistency. The Panthers offense that got them to this point of the season has been battered today by Von Miller, DeMarcus Ware, and Malik Jackson. Cam Newton needs more time to find men downfield.

3rd Q, 8:18: Once again, the Broncos can not find the end zone on offense. However, Mr. Automatic Brandon McManus hammers home another field goal to make it 16-7 Denver.

3rd Q, 8:27: Peyton Manning sails it over the head of Demaryius Thomas. 3rd and 5 now.

3rd Q, 9:44: Peyton finds Sanders again, frozen up field ready for it. Red zone for Denver!

3rd Q, 10:36: 25 yard pass by Peyton Manning to Emmanuel Sanders! Peyton opening things up after momentum switched following Gano's missed kick for Carolina.

3rd Q, 10:54: Gano's kick HITS THE UPRIGHT. DOINK. What a hold by Denver! The kick continued to sail to the right until it bounced right off the upright.

3rd Q, 10:54: Incomplete pass on 3rd down, and the Panthers have to bring out Gano for a field goal attempt. Good hold by Denver after that long Ted Ginn Jr. play.

3rd Q, 10:58: Cotchery had it in his grasp, but it drops out. 3rd and 11.

3rd Q, 11:30: Pressure again, Cam Newton dropped on first down for a 1 yard loss.

3rd Q, 12:15: Ted Ginn on a slant, first down Carolina. To the 25 of Denver.

3rd Q, 13:25: Fozzy Whittaker with a twist, first down. However, unnecessary roughness on Carolina's Turner, moving them back 15 yards. Carolina has consistently shot themselves in the foot in this game.

3rd Q, 14:13: We mentioned at halftime that Carolina needed to get Ted Ginn Jr. going, and he just WENT after a Newton pass! Longest play of the game as Carolina is at the Denver 35!

3rd Q, 14:50: Broncos gang up to slam Stewart on his rushing attempt, no gain on first down.

3rd Q, 15:00: Kickoff and it's Carolina's ball. They need to start making a statement after their poor offensive first half.

Halftime: Get your Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream, Lay's Potato Chips, and Snyder's Pretzels. We're in for a treat in the 2nd half.

Halftime: Looks like we're in for a heck of a 2nd half. Expect to see more action from Ted Ginn Jr., as the speedster had an uneventful 1st half. For the Broncos, count on Peyton Manning gunning for Demaryius Thomas more. The star WR was unable to do much early, but Gary Kubiak will likely try to put him in more prime situations soon.

Halftime: If you like defense, this is the game for you. 13-7 at the half, and the pressure is enormous on Peyton Manning and Cam Newton. The half was highlighted by 2 Denver field goals, a strip sack by Von Miller recovered for a touchdown by Malik Jackson, and a long TD drive for Carolina punctuated by a Jonathan Stewart leaping touchdown. Despite that one offensive touchdown by the Panthers, it's been a brutal game for both offenses. Peyton Manning has been sacked twice and has thrown an interception. Cam Newton has been sacked thrice and gave up one fumble as well.

2nd Quarter Ends: On the final play, DeMarcus Ware BARRELS into Cam Newton for the sack! What a half for Denver's defense!

2nd Q, 18 Secs Left: Carolina calls a timeout as they are continuing their drive. 18 seconds to go before halftime, and they want a touchdown.

2nd Q, 56 Secs Left: Funchess with his first grab of the game, 24 yards! That gets Cam out of a hole, nearing midfield. Time is waning, though.

2nd Q, 1:22: No energy, no plan, and no confidence in the Carolina offense right now.

2nd Q, 1:36: Good tackle by Chris Harris Jr. On 2nd and 7, a flag is called on Carolina for a false start. It's now 2nd and 12.

2nd Q, 1:53: Cam Newton is visibly frustrated. Carolina Panthers can not catch a break, punting for the 5th time in this game.

2nd Q, 3:10: Demaryius Thomas gets his first catch, nice gain to get Denver close to a first down at their own 30 yard line. CJ Anderson is stuffed on 2nd down, though.

2nd Q, 4:00: 3 and out for Carolina. Newton threw a bullet to Philly Brown, but young Bradley Roby broke that up. Denver's defense saves the day again.

2nd Q, 4:30: It has truly been a shaky start for both quarterbacks as Peyton Manning and Cam Newton are under boatloads of pressure.

2nd Q, 4:55: It's now 3rd and 8 as Denver stalls. On 3rd down, Peyton Manning is INTERCEPTED by KONY EALY! The Missouri product scoops up the ball that is thrown right to him! The pass was intented for Sanders, but Peyton just underthrew it.

2nd Q, 6:19: CJ Anderson with his best run of the day, 34 yards after breaking numerous tackles!

2nd Q, 6:30: These hard tackles are affecting the Panthers' psyche. Denver is not giving up on plays, pounding the ball out of Carolina receivers' hands.

2nd Q, 6:30: DANNY TREVATHAN FORCES MIKE TOLBERT TO FUMBLE! A thunderous tackle made Tolbert lose grip on the football, and Denver's defense comes through again!

2nd Q, 6:45: Cam Newton using those legs, barreling up the middle for a gain of 14. Then an unnecessary roughness penalty on Denver, putting Carolina at midfield.

2nd Q, 6:58: Touchback for Denver. It must be noted that Cam Newton thrives when his defense forces field goals. He is in a prime position now to potentially get his team their first lead of the game.

2nd Q, 7:09: Denver has squandered the opportunity! Three small gains set them up for 4th and 1. They went for it, and CJ Anderson got the first down. However, Denver was called for holding, forcing them into a field goal try. McManus's kick is GOOD, and it's 13-7 Denver.

2nd Q, 8:30: Monumental play by Norwood. Denver is knocking on the door, set up perfectly.

2nd Q, 9:11: Norwood with the punt return, and he gets to the sidelines. Norwood get to the 15 yard line of Carolina after a MASSIVE return! That was the largest punt return in the history of the Super Bowl!

2nd Q, 9:29: Darian Stewart bats it away from Olson, Carolina will have to punt.

2nd Q, 10:00: Malik Jackson with some pressure, he's been strong in this game. Sacks Cam Newton, and it's 3rd and 12.

2nd Q, 10:46: Colquitt punts, and it goes out right at midfield. Panthers have momentum.

2nd Q, 11:00: Kuechly SLAMS Demaryius Thomas, incomplete pass. Denver punts as Carolina tries to get the game back in their hands. Ineligible man down field called on Denver during the punt. Colquitt will punt again. It's 10-7 Denver.

2nd Q, 11:05: Josh Norman leaps and almost gets an interception. Peyton Manning is struggling right now, 3rd and 17.

2nd Q, 11:18: Kony Ealy is officially credited with a sack. However, Carolina is now out of challenges.

2nd Q, 11:25: Peyton Manning now is in the midst of pressure on this drive. Kony Ealy sacks Peyton Manning, although the refs did not call Manning down. Rivera throws his 2nd challenge of the game.

2nd Q, 11:25: Offsides on Talib during the PAT. Can't express enough how horrific Aqib Talib has been so far in this game, committing penalties left and right while letting receivers zip by him. The Bronco will need to get into the right mindset quickly, or the Panthers will take advantage of him over and over.

2nd Q, 11:25: Stewart sees an opening, leaps way up in the air for a TOUCHDOWN PANTHERS!

2nd Q, 12:00: Olsen with a nice move, gets a 19 yard gain after Cam's pass. On first down, Philly Brown gets a tough grab for yet another first down, and Aqib Talib committed a facemask in the process. Panthers on the Broncos' doorstep!

2nd Q, 13:44: Newton is getting some room to run as the Denver defense is not used to defending against such a talented rushing QB. Almost runs for yet another first down.

2nd Q, 14:48: Cam Newton is loose! Zips to the left for what looks like a first down.

End Of 1st Quarter: Denver got a touchdown from their defense, a tremendous accomplishment going against the high-flying Carolina attack. Vegas went solidly for the Panthers in this game, but so far, the Broncos are making the bettors look like fools. 10-0 Denver after the first quarter.

1st Q, 20 Secs Left: Cam Newton passes to Philly Brown for a wide open grab for 20 yards. This is easily the longest completion of the game for Newton as the 1st quarter comes to a close.

1st Q, 1:00: Jonathan Stewart is back for the Panthers.

1st Q, 2:19: CJ Anderson has been bottled up for his past few rushes. Then on 3rd down, Luke Keuchly soars for a thunderous SACK on Peyton Manning. Keuchly came right up the middle, slamming Manning right to the ground. Carolina gets the ball right back.

1st Q, 3:30: Bradley Roby with tremendous coverage on Cotchery as Cam's pass is incomplete. Carolina will have to punt, giving Denver's offense the ball after a long break for Peyton Manning.

1st Q, 4:55: Stewart and Ward zip down and sack Cam Newton again, but Denver shoots itself in the foot after Aqib Talib runs his mouth, warranting a 15 yard penalty.

1st Q, 5:35: Carolina gets their first 1st down of the game. On the next play, Carolina fumbles again, but it's recovered by Tolbert. Panthers look lost right now.

1st Q, 6:30: Absolutely sensational start for the Broncos. They're getting exactly what they needed, firm pressure on Cam Newton. Peyton Manning gets a lot of rest to start this game as Carolina comes back out.

1st Q, 6:30: It's a turnover! Von Miller strips Cam Newton, and Jackson picks it up for a TOUCHDOWN DENVER!

1st Q, 7:16: Shocking turn of events as the referees call it incomplete. Carolina is still well back in their own territory.

1st Q, 7:16: First play of Carolina's 2nd possession is a pass up the middle by Jerricho Cotchery. Refs called it incomplete after a bobble, but it looks like a complete pass. Ron Rivera challenges and it likely will be overturned. This will be a gain of 24 for the Panthers, a needed boost after a slow start.

1st Q, 7:58: CJ Anderson reaches,  but Thomas Davis slams him down. Denver punts as Carolina defense comes alive.

1st Q, 8:30: 3rd down already for the Broncos, solid tackling by Kuechly and Co.

1st Q, 9:19: Gary Kubiak must be prowd of his team in the early stages of this game, keeping Carolina from doing any damage.

1st Q, 9:41: First completion of the day, to Greg Olson. However, it's just a yard short, and Carolina opts to punt rather than go for it on 4th down.

1st Q, 10:00: Quick run for Jonathan Stewart. On 2nd down, Newton sails a pass just barely over Philly Brown's head. Panthers still trying to find a rhythm.

1st Q, 10:36: Carolina receives and gets a short kickoff return. Interesting situation for Cam Newton, having to respond to a very early deficit.

1st Q, 10:36: Kick is drilled, and it's 3-0 Denver. What a magnificent punch to the gut the Broncos put on Carolina on that opening drive, setting the tone.

1st Q, 11:22: McClain knocks down a Manning pass, and it's now 3rd down. Manning then goes for a short pass to Anderson, and he had no room to dash after that. Now a field goal try for McManus.

1st Q, 12:00: Ronnie Hillman is dropped for a loss on 1st down to the Carolina 20. Still, the Panthers are on their toes with this quick Denver pace.

1st Q, 13:12: CJ Anderson is weaving his way for first downs, curves to the left to get Denver to the Carolina 15.

1st Q, 13:40: Peyton drops back, deep pass to Caldwell! A penalty on Carolina's Josh Norman was declined as well.

1st Q, 14:10: Another quick completion, this one to CJ Anderson. On 2nd and 4, pass a little too quick by Peyton to Daniels. Now 3rd and 4.

1st Q, 14:46: Quick pass down the field to Owen Daniels from Manning, to the 38.

1st Q, 15:00: Gano kicks to Andre Caldwell. Super Bowl 50 is underway after an 18 yard return.

Kickoff coming!

Referee Clete Blakeman gives Joe Montana the coin to toss. Carolina wins the toss, defers to the 2nd half. Denver will receive.

Lady Gaga with a fantastic performance, using her unique voice to the fullest.

The Armed Forces Chorus sings America The Beautiful.

The pro-Denver crowd roars as Peyton Manning and the Broncos storm onto the turf.

Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors is pounding the drum, welcoming in the Carolina Panthers as they take the field!

A beautiful corp of Super Bowl MVPs on the field. New York Jets' great Joe Namath looks like the peppiest of them all.

All former Super Bowl MVPs are currently being honored by the NFL on the field.

One of the more remarkable statistics I've seen today is that Cam Newton ran for 636 yards in the 2015 regular season. Peyton Manning has run for 667 in his entire career. IN HIS ENTIRE CAREER.

Cam Newton's modesty has been on full display in warm-ups today. He's sporting the golden MVP cleats with his stats on them, and this lovely warm-up t-shirt.

The President and First Lady gave an interview today to CBS in the run-up the game, and confirmed that there will be a viewing party in the White House. According to the President, the menu will consist of "Wings, pizza, nachos, guac..." before the First Lady added that there will be "two types of salad."

Superstars and athletes of every stripe, from Stephen Curry to Ricardo Kaka, are ready and excited for this game to get underway. Will Cam Newton get a ring? Will Peyton Manning get a storybook ending? Only time will tell.

Meanwhile, Cam Newton is sporting some remarkably golden cleats for this evening's festivities.

Courtesy of Twitter, I'm gleaning the information that there are massive lines to get into any and all merchandising venues in and around the stadium. In other words, the sky is blue.

As is normally the case, former stars aplenty are moonlighting on TV coverage in the lead up to the game. Former Green Bay Packers, New York Jets and Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre (who has just been elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame) appeared on both ESPN and the NFL Network sporting some facial scruff.

Today in San Francisco, it is a balmy 68 degrees, far warmer than the East Coast, which is looking forward to yet another winter storm. The weather should be perfect for this showpiece event.

While most sporting fans, no matter their stripes, often dream of seeing a Super Bowl live and in person, there are drawbacks which tend not to be taken into account. Chief among them is the fact that at Levi's Stadium this afternoon, fans are being charged $7 for a bottle of water. It's funny, the glass I'm drinking from right now didn't cost me anything besides a utility...

We're now just about 90 minutes away from kickoff of THE most anticipated day in the 2016 sporting calendar. Who will be victorious this evening? Carolina? Denver? Only time will tell.

What a place for such an occasion to take place today as Super Bowl 50 is at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara. As always, it will be quite an occasion with two fantastic sides, while Coldplay headlines the Pepsi Halftime show, along with Beyonce and Rihanna.

Manning took the Broncos to the Super Bowl three years ago when they lost Super Bowl XLVIII to the Seattle Seahawks by a score of 43-8. It was Denver's first Super Bowl appearance since the back-to-back wins in 1997 and 1998, and was also one of the most one-sided games in history.

The Broncos repeated their success the following season, defeating the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl XXXIII and for the second Super Bowl in a row, Elway was named Super Bowl MVP.

During the 1997 season under the tutelage of Mike Shanahan, Elway finally managed to gain his first Super Bowl win, guiding Denver to a 31-24 win over the Green Bay Packers in Super Bowl XXXII.

Super Bowl XXIV was a landslide in favour of the San Francisco 49ers as they swept aside the Broncos 55-10, and it was the most one-sided scoring differential in the history of the Super Bowl. At this point in time, people began to wonder whether or not Elway would ever get a ring.

Denver lost their first Super Bowl, Super Bowl XXI, with Elway at the helm 39-20 to the New York Giants before going on to lose Super Bowl XXII to the Washington Redskins 42-10.

Dan Reeves and Elway guided the Broncos to six post-season appearances, five AFC West divisional titles, three AFC Championships and three Super Bowl appearances during their 12-year partnership.

The Broncos reached their first Super Bowl in 1977, but were defeated by the Dallas Cowboys, 27-10. They were viewed as perennial also rans until legend John Elway arrived on the scene in 1983 and the story changed.

It was a game which saw Brady sacked on a number of occasions by Von Miller and co on his way to throwing two interceptions. The Patriots looked to come back, but it was too little too later when Steven Jackson went into the end zone in the fourth quarter.

There was only one touchdown scored during that game on offense, but a week later against the Patriots was a different story when Manning threw two first half touchdowns to tight end Owen Daniels.

Manning led Denver to  23-16 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in the divisional round of the playoffs, a game in which they trailed all the way up until the final quarter before a C.J. Anderson touchdown and a field goal from Brandon McManus helped them through.

As for the Broncos, they managed to overcome the challenge of Tom Brady and the Patriots to be where they are today as the AFC's representatives at Super Bowl 50. This could well be the last chance for Manning to win another Super Bowl ring.

In just their ninth year of existence, the Panthers made their first ever trip to the Super Bowl. Just two years prior, they were 1-15 and looked to be nowhere near a Super Bowl caliber team. That’s the funny thing about the NFL, any team has a realistic chance of making it to the “Big Game”.

After scoring over 80 points in just two playoff games, can the number one defense really stop this team from playing the way they do?

However, the Denver Broncos have the best defense in the league and it may well be Peyton Manning's last outing, and the veteran is certainly not going to be a pushover.

Newton led his team to a crushing 49-15 win to see them progress to the Super Bowl, they didn't allow Carson PalmerLarry Fitzgerald and the Cardinals to find any consistency.

The last time these teams played, on November, 11, 2012Cam Newton and Peyton Manning were the starting quarterbacks. Newton would have two passing touchdowns in the game and Manning would only have one. Newton started off the game by throwing it to Greg Olsen for the opening touchdown. The Broncos would score the next 29 points in the game though, as they cruised to a 29-7 lead before going on to win by a final score of 36-14. Brandon Stokley had a receiving touchdown and Ronnie Hillman would take one in on the ground.

When it comes to these two teams playing head-to-head, there simply haven't been too many occurrences at this time. The Denver Broncos lead the all time series though, with a head-to-head advantage of 3-1 against the Panthers.

In their last game, the Carolina Panthers took the Arizona Cardinals and completely thrashed them in the NFC Championship Game. The final score of the game was 49-15, and the Panthers just played better football on both sides of the ball.

The Carolina Panthers have had their best season in Franchise history in 2015, going 15-1 during the regular season and having their two playoff wins to go to 17-1.

Two weeks ago, the Denver Broncos eliminated the New England Patriots out of the playoffs in a tight matchup, winning the AFC Championship Game by a final score of 20-18.

The Denver Broncos come into this game with a record of 14-4. They will be representing the AFC in Super Bowl 50 and despite not being favored, anything can happen in one game.

Good Evening, and welcome to VAVEL USA's live coverage of the Carolina Panthers - Denver Broncos live in Super Bowl 50. My name is Ben Anderson, and I will be here to provide you with updated scores and comments through this epic game.
