The Buffalo Bills keep making the news this week and for the most part, the news isn't good. In all three cases, it involves players who play the same position.

Friday afternoon the National Football League announced it is suspending Karlos Williams for the first four games of the 2016 season for violating the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse. The league did not specify what substance Karlos was using. Williams won't be eligible to play until Bills' October 9th game against the Los Angeles Rams. He can participate in training camp and preseason games

Buffalo Bills Reaction

In a statement, the Bills said: "As an organization, we are disappointed that Karlos has put himself in this situation. Poor decisions such as this affect not only the individual but the entire Bills organization. We will continue to work with Karlos through the various player programs we provide to assist him in making better decisions moving forward."

Williams' suspension comes after reports in mini-camp that he had gained weight since the end of the season. He had blamed it on his girlfriend's pregnancy.

Other Running Back Problems

Karlos Williams' suspension news comes about 36 hours after another Williams running back, Jonathan Williams, was arrested for DWI in Arkansas. The Bills drafted him in the fifth round of this year's NFL draft.

Some good news did come this week for the Bills. The league announced it will not seek discipline against LeSean McCoy for a bar fight in Philadelphia in February. McCoy is now cleared to once again be the Bills' number one running back. Now with Karlos suspended, the number two position will be a battle between who is left in the running back core. Minus Jonathan Williams that leaves Michael Gillislee, Boom Herron, and James Wilder, Jr. Gillislee showed some potential with strong performances last season.
