Over in the NFC, Arizona Cardinals cornerback Marcus Cooper has won the defensive award. Cooper has been in Phoenix for just over a week after being traded from the Kansas City Chiefs, with a pick-six of Jameis Winston helping the Cardinals rout the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Diggs lights up Packer secondary on way to NFC Offensive award
Stefon Diggs enjoyed the biggest performance of his short career on Sunday Night Football and has been given the NFC Offensive Player of the Week.
Diggs torched the Green Bay Packers for 182 yards and a touchdown in the Minnesota Vikings 17-14 win to help them move atop the NFC North standings.
Over in the AFC, Ryan Fitzpatrick's 374-yard, one touchdown effort for the New York Jets, helped him see off his former employees the Buffalo Bills, helping him land his fifth Player of the Week award.
Lawrence Guy of the Baltimore Ravens was the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week, while Janoris Jenkins won the award in the NFC thanks to his blocked field-goal touchdown return in the New York Giants win over the New Orleans Saints. Jenkins previously won the Defensive Player of the Week award in 2012 when he was with the St.Louis Rams, yet this is his first Special Team award and comes after he signed a five-year $62,500,000 contract in the off-season with the G-Men.
