The Atlanta Falcons (4-2, first in NFC South) aim to gain a third victory over the AFC West on Sunday as they battle the San Diego Chargers (2-4, fourth in AFC West) at the Georgia Dome.

The Falcons are coming in off a two-week road trip in which they split the trip with a 1-1 record. A tough loss to the Seattle Seahawks provides plenty of motivation for the NFC South leaders while the Chargers are coming off a huge victory over the Denver Broncos last Thursday.

Injury Report

Atlanta Falcons: Dan Quinn will be hoping to see his team recover from a heartbreaking loss to the Seahawks last week and he has a fairly healthy roster to work with this week. Corner CJ Goodwin and wide receiver Taylor Gabriel are the only two Falcons to have been ruled out ahead of Sunday due to a groin injury and a concussion.

Mohamed Sanu, Keanu Neal, and Paul Worrilow were all full participants at Friday's practice and will play on Sunday while De'Vondre Campbell and Deion Jones should return to a full workload at LB.

San Diego Chargers: A big division win last Thursday gives the Chargers some confidence heading into Atlanta but an already depleted roster may be added to for Sunday.

Linebacker Jeremiah Attaochu did not practice on Friday and is doubtful while wide receiver Travis Benjamin is questionable with a nagging knee injury. Benjamin's absence would deeply affect the offense while corner Brandon Flowers, who is also questionable, would be a key miss for San Diego's weak secondary.

What to Watch For

Matt Ryan's Search for a Record: After an excellent start to the 2016 season, Matt Ryan has a chance to break a historic NFL record on Sunday. His 335-yard outing against the Seahawks tied Dan Fouts' record for the most consecutive regular season games with 200+ passing yards (45). If Ryan can pick apart San Diego and throw for over 200 yards, he'll see his red-hot start rewarded with a record.

Julio Jones - SD's secondary: Despite leading the NFL in receiving yards this season with 656 yards, Julio Jones has yet to record consecutive 100+ yard games this season. The superstar wideout racked up 135 yards last week against Seattle's elite secondary and is expected to see plenty of action against the Chargers' depleted secondary.

Melvin Gordon's Hot Start: While the second-year back has just 393 rushing yards on the season, he's found the end zone seven times. Gordon has six rushing scores and one receiving touchdown through six games and has been held out of the end zone in just one game so far, against Denver last week. Atlanta is currently 14th in the NFL in run defense and will need to have a close eye on Gordon.
