Key player Washington Football Team
Similarly, one of the keys for Washington will be to run the ball and, despite losing to the Chargers, Antonio Gibson ran for 90 yards, so he will be the key player on offense for the team from the North American capital.
Key player New York Giants
After an injury that kept him out for most of the 2020 season, Saquon Barkley has to exploit the ground attack to give solvency and security to Jones. In the first week he only managed 26 yards in 10 attempts.
With a lot of attitude
Despite the change at the quarterback position, coach Ron Rivera commented that he is confident and sure of Heinicke's ability and chemistry on the field and assured that they will put up a fight on Thursday against the Giants:
"I think our guys will rally around him," Rivera said. "Some guys have an innate ability to create some excitement, some emotion. And that's a little bit about Taylor because of the way he plays. He plays a little bit like a hair on fire, he plays a little bit like a gunslinger."
Washington Football Team: making home field count
Despite having one of the best defenses, they could not pull out the victory in the first game against the Los Angeles Chargers, falling 20-16, highlighting that they were greatly depleted by the injury of Ryan Fitzpatrick, who will miss about 7-9 weeks, so Taylor Heinicke had to take his place.
New York Giants: to get back on track
The Giants did not have an adequate performance when they lost 27-13 at home against the Denver Broncos where, despite Daniel Jones had acceptable numbers, the ground attack never worked and that ended up tipping the balance in the game. Now they will have to run the ball to support their quarterback.
Kick-off time
The New York Giants vs Washington Football Team match will be played at the FedExField Stadium, in Washington, United States. The kick-off is scheduled at 8:20 pm ET.
