The meeting

A lot of fans
As has been the custom over the years, Steelers fans no matter what field they were on, but they turned out in their hundreds to support the Steel Curtain in their Playoff debut.

How did the Steelers get here?
The Steelers won three of their last four games and, combined with the Raiders' victory over the Chargers in the last game of the regular season, were enough to qualify for the playoffs.
It is worth noting that since arriving in Pittsburgh, neither Ben Roethlisberger nor Mike Tomlin have had losing seasons and all have been at least .500.
How did the Chiefs get here?
Kansas City was the AFC West division champion, although in the penultimate week they lost to the Bengals, so the victory against the Broncos was in vain on the last day and was only enough to retain second place.
To remain undefeated
The Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes have not lost in the last two years in the Playoffs (not counting Super Bowl) and will look to extend that status. The time Steelers defeated Chiefs in 2017 in the Wild Card round, Mahomes was still in college.

Enter the field
Led by captain Ben Roethlisberger, who admitted that the Chiefs were the favorites and would be out to have fun, the Steelers took the field.

The Chiefs will be without these players, although they will be without running back Edwards-Helaire and wide receiver Gordon, both of whom have been key pieces in Patrick Mahomes' offense:
No. 6 QB Shane Buechele
No. 19 WR Josh Gordon
No. 25 RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire
No. 27 CB Rashad Fenton
No. 34 RB Darwin Thompson
No. 59 DE Joshua Kaindoh
No. 70 OT Prince Tega Wanogho
Absent from Pittsburgh
These are the Pittsburgh players who will be unavailable for tonight. No one of consideration on this list:
No. 3 QB Dwayne Haskins
No. 15 WR Cody White
No. 26 RB Anthony McFarland
No. 30 LB Tegray Scales
No. 73 DT Carlos Davis
Last Playoff victory
Although they met in the regular season and the Chiefs won, the Steelers' last victory in the Playoffs was four years ago when they visited this same stadium and won by a score of 18-16, where kicker Chris Boswell was the hero of the night with six field goals.
It's back
After getting injured earlier in the season, the good news for the Steelers is that Juju Smith-Schuster recovered from his injury, trained this week and was activated for this game, so he will be available to rejoin Big Ben's offense.
Day of... farewell?
Kansas City Chiefs fans invited everyone to come to the stadium this Sunday, especially to give a retirement to Ben Roethlisberger, who is living his last season as a professional and this could be his last game.
Start
The last game of Sunday's NFL Playoffs will be played at Arrowhead Stadium where the Kansas City Chiefs, second place in the American Conference, will host the Pittsburgh Steelers, who got into the last round.

Pittsburgh Steelers 10-36 Kansas City Chiefs, 2021
Kansas City Chiefs 42-37 Pittsburgh Steelers, 2018

Key player Kansas City Chiefs
If there is someone who knows how to play this kind of games despite the few years he has been in the NFL is Patrick Mahomes, who has already reached two Super Bowl (one won and one lost), plus he has never lost at home in the Wild Card round.
Key player Pittsburgh Steelers
TJ Watt comes from tying the historical figure of 22.5 sacks in a regular season, which is why all eyes will be on him and his ability to bother and catch Patrick Mahomes so that he does not have a good afternoon.
The key for the Chiefs
The Steelers do not have a good ground attack despite having Najee Harris, so stopping them and forcing Ben Roethlisberger to throw constantly will be the key to get the ball back quickly and for Patrick Mahomes to be able to take the shine off the field as he has done in the last few postseasons.
The key for the Steelers
With an offense that scores between 10 and 20 points per game, the Steelers will depend a lot on what their defense can do, their ability to stop Patrick Mahomes and the ground attack, which is one of the worst defenses in the league.
How did the Chiefs get here?
A loss on the penultimate day at home to the Bengals caused the Kansas City Chiefs to lose the top spot in the AFC despite having beaten the Denver Broncos as visitors, so they finished with a record of 12 wins and five losses.
How did the Steelers get there?
In a miraculous way on the last day after defeating the Baltimore Ravens on the road and in overtime, the Pittsburgh Steelers qualified thanks to the victories of the Jaguars over the Colts and the Raiders over the Chargers, which gave them a pass as the seventh best seed in the American Conference and, if they reach the Super Bowl, they will no longer play at Heinz Field.
Kick-off time
The Pittsburgh Steelers vs Kansas City Chiefs match will be played at the Arrowhead Stadium, in Kansas City, United States. The kick-off is scheduled at 8:15 pm ET.
