In recent years there has been a lot of criticism for this game, due to the fact that it is not played with the same intensity as a regular season game, mainly to take care of the players' injuries.

Not being in the Super Bowl, a great attraction will be to see Patrick Mahomes in this game for the second time, who had been absent for having played the Vince Lombardi Trophy game. The Chiefs are coming off a Conference Final loss to the Bengals.

Of the losing teams in the divisional round with the best record, the coaches of each team will lead, so Mike Vrabel of the Tennessee Titans will be in the AFC and Matt LaFleur, of the Green Bay Packers, will be with the NFC.
