The Florida Panthers' prospects are in good spirits, as they were crowned champions after going 3-0 in the annual Rookie Tournament that took place at the Ford Ice Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Participating against the Panthers prospects were rookies from the Tampa Bay Lightning, Boston Bruins, and host Nashville Predators. With coaches having a good opportunity to observe their prospects, the Panthers made some cuts to finalize their 51-man roster. Those players still remaining will be invited to their NHL training camp that will begin on Friday. The team will making more cuts over the next few weeks as training camp and the preseason goes on before the first regular season game on Thursday October 9th against the Lightning in Tampa Bay.
