The Chicago Blackhawks were a bit of a question mark coming into the playoffs as to how well they would be able to perform after falling to third place in their own division in the Western Conference. But a lot of that had to do with injuries, specifically the injury that Patrick Kane had as he is one of the best players that is on the Blackhawks roster.

But the Blackhawks seem to have very few doubters anymore, as they keep getting victories in the playoffs. Jonathan Toews was the first person to score in this contest, as he scored on a shorthanded goal assisted by Marian Hossa. Then Patrick Kane would join him by scoring in the second period with just 20 seconds left on the clock to beat Devan Dubnyk. The Blackhawks were glad to have a 2-0 advantage heading into the final period, but they had just had a penalty before time expired, as Michal Rozsival was called for a interference, which led to a power play for the Wild going into the final period.

Matt Dumba would be the one to take advantage of the power play as he would score the lone Wild goal against Corey Crawford in this contest. But the Blackhawks would bounce back yet again, as Patrick Sharp scored with 13 minutes left and then Patrick Kane would score an empty net goal with just over 2 minutes left in the game.

Game 3 will be up in Minnesota as the Wild will be looking to find a way to bounce back from falling down 2-0 in the series to the Blackhawks.
