Anaheim has been hot all postseason long with a strong 6-1 record in the Western Conference playoffs, and they were able to keep that groove going as they got their third win on the road this postseason when they defeated the Calgary Flames 4-2 on Friday night.

The first period had a flurry of goals within 2 minutes as the Ducks took the opening lead when Jakob Silfverberg scored off a power play that was earned on Lance Bouma's high sticking penalty. Silfverberg was assisted by both Ryan Kesler and Francois Beauchemin and the Ducks led 1-0, but that lead would be short lived. Just 39 seconds later Sean Monahan scored the tying goal for the Flames and then 67 seconds later Micheal Ferland scored an unassisted goal to change the game around from a one goal deficit to a one goal lead for the Flames. Those two goals would be the only two allowed by Frederik Andersen as he saved 25 shots on 27 attempts for a total save percentage of 93%.

Things stayed pretty calm on the ice until near the end of the second period when Andrew Cogliano scored one past Karri Ramo to tie the game up and it would be 2 a piece heading into the final period of the game. But Flames Center Joe Colborne got a 4 minute double minor for high sticking right as the period ended which would end up hurting the Flames as they went into the final period.

Matt Beleskey would end up taking advantage of the power play as he would score just 1:11 into the final period with assists by both Silfverberg and Beauchemin. Calgary still had opportunities though as the Ducks had penalties when Kyle Palmieri was called for hooking and then Andrew Cogliano was called for holding just over a minute later, but Andersen did his part and they didn't give up a power play goal in this contest. Patrick Maroon added the extra goal for Anaheim with 37 seconds left in the game as he got the unassisted empty net goal.

Anaheim will be looking to lock up a Western Conference Finals against the Chicago Blackhawks as they head back home to the Honda Center where they outscored the Flames 9-1 combined in the first two games of the series. Game 5 will be on Mother's Day, Sunday, May 10.
