"Obviously, I hope everyone knows that there was no intention for something like this to happen," Johansen said. "Just a freak accident. But it definitely put a smile on my face to hear that it could just be a little scratch and some swelling."
"I think he knows it was an accident," Johansen said.
Asked about his emotions for the fourth and decisive game against Avalanche, Filip Fosberg said: "Same as going into Game 1. The mindset for us hasn't changed at all. We just play one game at a time. Obviously, we're aware of the situation we're in. But at the same time, we have to win, keep this show alive, and that's all we're focusing on."
"Every kid here in Nashville probably runs down the street with their hockey stick when they score a goal calling themselves a Forsberg," said center Ryan Johansen.
"He's a tremendous scorer," said Johansen. "His shot is... he's very elite. This year, especially, I'm really proud of him and how consistent he's been. We all know he can score goals, but [it's] just how he's bringing his style of advanced type game on a very consistent basis. So he's a very exciting player."
"I think he took a lot of steps in those situations," Hynes said. "He's had a great year this year and it's a big reason why we're in the postseason."
“I know the big headline is that he didn't produce it, but he's got a really good look that he didn't like,” Hynes said.
"I played a lot of hockey with him as a linemate and watched him a lot," said Johansen, who has been with the Predators since 2015-16. "It's exciting as a teammate to see him take a step this year, and to know that there's even more out there. Over forty goals is amazing, and that's hard to do, and few guys get to do that. So much fun to do. watch with my time here and be around him.''
"I hope it's not your last game.''

"His eye is thankfully fine after further evaluation last night," Avalanche coach Jared Bednar said on Sunday. "He has a little swelling, so I think he's a possibility for tomorrow if the swelling goes down."
"Everyone needs to contribute, but it's up to our top guys to drive the bus," MacKinnon said May 2. "That's what we're looking to do."
"It's an important time of year and it comes from a deep desire to win," Avalanche coach Jared Bednar said of MacKinnon's consistent production.
"He's a man on a mission, it's as simple as that," Landeskog said of MacKinnon after Game 3. "Like the other 20 guys in that locker room, we're dedicated to what we're trying to do, we're committed to it, and we're hungry so. He's leading the charge.''
