The past week in NASCAR in all of the top three tiers was full of changes and headlines, from new crew chiefs to new sponsors.

Sponsor Arris completed it's photoshoot for the new season at Concord Speedway with the #19 of Carl Edwards and the #18 XFinity car of rookie Daniel Suarez.

Elsewhere drivers were in attendance at some college teams' bowls including Danica Patrick being the Grand Marshal for the GoDaddy bowl between Arkansas State and Toledo.

But the big news in the College Football games was the presence of driver of the #88 car Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Dale Earnhardt Jr Starts TaxSlayer Bowl With Coin Toss

NASCAR's most popular driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. started the TaxSlayer bowl by tossing the coin at the start of the game.

The University of Iowa Hawkeyes and the University of Tennessee Volunteers were the two teams taking part in the bowl.

TaxSlayer has been a loyal sponsor to Earnhardt Jr's team, JR Motorsports, for a number of years and invited the NASCAR legend along.

Earnhardt Jr. spent time taking photos and talking to fans in attendance and even went to the media suite and spoke to the journalist present in Jacksonville where the game took place.

Eric McClure Secures Full-Time Ride In XFinity Series

Eric McClure has bagged himself his first full-time ride in NASCAR since the 2011 season.

The 36 year old who has ran part-time for the past three years got the offer from JGL Racing and will drive the #24 car for the team.

McClures team mate will be JJ Yeley who has raced with McClure in the second tier of the sport and will drive the #28.

He told the press in attendance: "It's a privilege to compete at this level of motorsports and to have the opportunity to return to full-time competition is truly a blessing."

Knost Is Named As Patrick's New Crew Chief For 2015

Kurt Busch's former crew chief Daniel Knost has been revealed as the new man on the box for team mate Danica Patrick.

At the end of last season Patrick and Busch swapped crew chiefs with Tony Gibson joining the #41 team.

Patrick had her most successful season to date under Gibson last year with three top ten finishes and promising qualifying efforts all season.

Patrick told the press about the news: "I think someone new is both scary but also exciting. Until you go there you don't know how good it will be.

"Daniel is a smart guy and I'm interested to see what we can do."
