Round 1 of qualifying started with defending XFinity Series champion Elliott in the #9 going quickest with a 27.191 second lap.

But it didn't last long as Logano in the #22 went to the point after four minutes of the session with a 26.950 second lap time, a speed of 133.581mph.

After five minutes Logano #22, T. Dillon #3, Elliott #9, Harvick #88 and A. Dillon #33 made up the top five as 23 cars had already posted a lap.

At the half way point of the 15 minute round the top five was the same as Bliss #19 was on the bubble with 31 cars having posted a time.

The next ten minutes saw a number of drivers getting bumped out of the top 24 and a number jumping into the transfer places.

Firstly with six minutes to go Lupton in the #25 went to 19th to knock out Bliss #19, then a minute later Bliss was back in the top 24 in 18th to knock out Conley #14.

With three minutes left Cassill in the #01 jumped to 23rd from 30th to knock out Koch in the #8, but Koch was quickly back into the top 24 in 17th to bump Chastain in the #4.

There was then a brief respite as the red flag was displayed when Lewandowski #56 spun coming out of turn four and just tapped the wall before coming to a stop.

As the green flag came back out a number of drivers in and around the bubble tried their luck to make the top 24 and stay inside the top 24 positions.

When the session came to a close Daytona winner Reed #16 was the final driver to advance in 24th.
Round two started in much the same fashion with most drivers going out when the track opened once again.

Logano in the #22 set a new track record lap time of 26.723 seconds on his first lap on track in this round.

With seven minutes to go Harvick in the #88 went to 2nd as ten cars had posted a lap time.

Wallace Jr in the #6 was on the bubble position in 12th with just over five minutes left as Armstrong in the #43 was on the outside looking in.

At the half way point Logano #22, Kenseth #20, Harvick #88, A. Dillon #33 and Elliott #9 made up the top five as 21 of the 24 cars had ran a lap.

Sadler in the #1 put himself into the top 12 and bumped out Scott in the #2 with four minutes to go.
Gaughan #62 was the final driver to run a lap and did it with just three minutes to go and put himself 8th on the second lap to bump out Sadler #1.

Late drama unfolded in round two as Armstrong #43 went back into the top 12 but was quickly back out when Scott went quicker to put C.Buescher #60 on the bubble.

But as time expired on the round Sadler #1 went back out for one last lap and put his car into 8th on the timing chart to knock out Buescher #60.

C.Buescher #60, Wallace Jr #6 and Reed #16 were a few of the drivers to miss out on the final round.
The third and final round began once again with Logano #22 posting a new track record lap time, a 26.627 second lap.

At the half way point in the round only five drivers had posted a time Logano #22, Kenseth #20, Elliott #9, Smith #7 and T. Dillon #3.

With two minutes to go rookie Suarez #19 went into 4th as Harvick in the #88 jumped to 2nd.

Jones in the #54 subbing for the injured Kyle Busch put the Toyota Camry into 3rd on his final lap as he was the last driver to post a time.

As the session came to a close Logano #22, Harvick #88, Jones #54, Kenseth #20 and A. Dillon #33 made up the top five for tonight's race at 3:30pm ET.

Rookie Suarez #19 was the highest placed full time XFinity Series driver in 6th on the timing chart for the race.
